okay, so I got my rayfoss laser last week. www.rayfoss.com

It took about 3 weeks I think, and it arrived in great condition. only one super tiny scratch.. not even noticable.

It came with the battery and charger, and I charged them up right away. The laser is very bright and works great! although, I don't know if this is normal, but it has lines on either side of the dot... it doesn't other me though

the laser is very nice and waterproof, the beam is awesome in dirty water. I don't think it's the best design to be waterproof though, because water gets trapped in the part where the diode or whatever you call it is. :p (I know I need to research a lot, lol.) When the water is trapped in there it doesn't harm the laser but it makes weird patterns and you have to let it dry out or what I do it use a hair dryer on the "cold" setting.

At night the beam is visible, and the beam is VERY visible in fog.

For burning, this laser is great. It can burn a match from roughly 10 feet away, and the most I've popped a balloon from is about 14 feet away. the matches light a lot beter with black marker on them. I've also lit sparklers with the laser, it does't always work though. it burns dark leather, engraves dark plastic, and many more dark objects...

sooo.... basically, this laser lived up to all of the expectations. Thankyou rayfoss for the awesome laser, I will be buying more from there! :D

here si a video I made... I thikn I'm going to redo it because some things in it are a bit weird and it's too long. And I hope styropyro doesn't mind, but I love the way he does his reveiws and videos so I kind of did it the same way he does. :D That's me excuse for copying... :p Hope that's alright styro. :)

I got it for $80 total. The shipping might have been more for me because I'm in Canada... but I don't know.

I know this has absolutly nothing to do with lasers (apologies forum moderator), but why did you shave that cats neck?

ahaha, the cat's neck isn't shaved. It's a devon rex cat, the breed has very little fur.

Nice laser randomkid! I have one too and it "was" amazing!

Those lines you showed/described are normal for red lasers.

Even on cheap 1$ lasers you will find those lines sometimes.

Also those weird patterns you describe is just water on your lenses. Nothing a atop and some alcohol can't fix.

You should put your laser in the water and light a match. Its pretty awesome. Make sure you wear your glasses :).

Hope you enjoy your laser! :)

Thankyou! What do you mean is "was" amazing? did it break? or did you trade it away?

And thanks fro letting me know about the line, I'm happy to know it's normal now. :)

And yes, I'd love to try to light a match underwater. It's be pretty cool... I have a nice sized terrarium I'm not using so maybe I can make a video of it. :-D
