Not sure why this thread was bumped. Does djpsych get a cut of sales? heh.
Lol, no. Was just bumping for anyone was looking for a cheap 532nm DPSS to buy who didn't need analog input.

dhom has been building a good reputation tho, worth trying out, a lot cheaper
Do you know if dhom's 532nm DPSS lasers outputs are over spec or close to the outputs they sell them at?

Ok I can see not wanting to buy underspec lasers, but worrying about 'near' spec? If you buy a 200mW laser and get a 210mW one.. That's no reason to be disappointed. I honestly don't understand the entitlement attitude a lot of people have.. Not happy unless their laser is 50%+ over spec..

I agree, over in the computer world when AMD came out with the Phenom II CPU's and some people found dual cores and tri cores could sometimes be unlocked to fully functional quads, people started expecting to be able to by a cheap dual core and unlock every time, which ended up getting silly, if you want a quad core, you buy a quad core. Want a 1W laser, buy a 1W laser.

The other thing is, none of the auction links work anyway.

Hehe. I have a 550BE that unfortunately has an actual bad core.

Hey, Can't blame a guy for trying. Though I wasn't depressed or anything when I 'only got what I paid for'. heh.

bought a 500mW DHOM for a project and it was doing 510mW... so probably not

I'll buy that module with the crappy mod off you if you don't want it :)

Yeah, I had a 720BE which unlocked but wasn't properly stable. I brought my CPU before the unlocking was known about but wasn't suprised when mine wasn't stable.

I had a 550BE for a couple days before sold it on again for a small profit, nice little duel cores.

Good times. :) I run a far more powerful PC these days.

Most people, myself included, don't need 'super badass' processors. I'll probably upgrade to a quad core AM3 something or rather, and add another 4gb of ram to this machine at some point, but beyond that, it's just a waste of money to me.
