im doing some testing on runnin a t803 diode at 200mw.

the tec is set for 10-15 degrees and so far its doing very well and staying at 10-15 degrees been running for 15 mins so far.

i was playing last night withouot a diode and was cooling the alum block to -5 with the tec LOL. was fun!

will keep the results coming, my aim is an hour tonight

Hello!
I have made also an testsetup before some time.
My Test diode was running at 210mA with tec and died after 20Hours. Output was arround 200mW becouse I use very good optics.
My Second test Diode died at 320mA direct.
It´s good for a real 60mW Diode.
Greetings,
Phil

I'm going to be doing a test in a few weeks of a 20X running at 450mA with TEC :)

How long do you think the BR would last at 190mA ?

Do laser diodes show any improvement from super cooling? Ie if you cooled it down to -30 or more would that give you any better results than around ambient?

if you cool a laser below room temp you wil get condensation on the optics.

I made a TEC for the first PS3 blu LD's. I found that heat isnt the problem and I never found a knee in the power curve ---
They just COD out faster.
