Hey guys,

Was looking for a blue laser when I came across this site...

It seems really worth it, especially since its focusable, 200mW and 405nm. It costs around $28, just in case you din't click on the hyperlink above.

Is this website trustable? And is it worth it? Please leave a comment below.

Thanks! :)

I wouldn't really trust the site. Besides, 405nm is violet. If you're looking for blue look in the 440-490nm range.

how much are you willing to spend , how quality do you want the laser and what do you want to do with it?

why do new members think that; wavelength of their choice + low price = quality & worth buying?

100mW of 405nm will cost you at least $40 + shipping for a quality laser

Ok firstly for me personally I do not look on wavelengths, but rather how powerful they are (mW). Well I dint say that it is worth buying, and thats my main aim of having this thread- to consult u guys.

Anyway, the shipping is free, so I hope that answers any queries of yours.

@firelaser
Well basically I have not ever got my hands on to blue lasers or such powerful lasers, but if I do get one it is probably just for some sky-shining or simple burning purposes, just for fun.

By the way, is it allowed in my country? :/[/QUOTE]

the thing is mW is all based on wavelength in terms of burning power and visibility. it wasnt meant to be a knock on you but it seems like every new member coming around here thinks that low price means quality. at least you are asking us prior to buying it which most people dont do so kuddos there. like i said above though, 100mW of 405nm will cost you $40 (+shipping). if the one you posted is free shipping then shipping doesnt matter in the decision to get it. its the price and quality of the laser that matters.

if 100mW is $40 then that alone should show that 200mW for $28 is crap, just my opinion

EDIT: also please edit your previous posts so you dont double post. i could have double posted but i edited mine since no one else posted below me yet. thanks :D

Hmm yeah have edited mine already. Appreciate your advice!
Well, like what you said, $28 for such a high rated laser aint gonna be of good quality. Lucky that I did not buy it! However, I am still unsure whether such lasers are allowed into my country, just in case I see a similar one to my liking....

well you should check local laws but also go to the yellow link in my signature and look under laws. there should be a link to a thread here that members posted their countries laws already. check if any are from your country, not sure off the top of my head since there is a ton of info there

i would definately check the laws but dont let that stop you from getting one.. many members in australia have them and you pretty much cant have any lasers over there....
but if it is super restricted i would just keep it inside, unless your local law doesn't care lol also basically if you want alot if visibility be able to pop balloons and light matches, get a good 100mw green but it will cost a bit,, $50-100

if you just want to burn you can either get a cheap red or purple like yours but it may not last as long as a quality one

or as livinloud could spend a little more , 40-120 and get a really good burner in 405, 100-500mw or a 200mw + red
these colors will be less bright but still go far, but the red will be brighter

many people here can build or get you one of the quality ones

and get goggles for these

also for just sky shining a lower power green can be bought for around 30.. and still be very bright
