200 mw green modules

Please look at these specification from this link and tell me if this module could powered by 2 AAA batteries

Each alkaline AAA is ~1.5v. Nimhs are ~1.2v.

3) Working voltage: DC 3.0~4.2V

So yes you can use two AAA's although why you would want to, idk:thinking:

yes, you can also power if from a single lithium cell eg 16340

A single 10440, would work even better if space is the limiting factor.

Sure that will work with two primary 1.5 volt cells or one 4.2volt Lipo cell.

Remember that in most all cases the power out is over rated, you can expect to get any where from 100mW to 175mW out of one of these modules.

Asfar i know is that these o-like modules are quite up to spec.

They are, but they are not IR filtered... which means on average you're probably looking at about 20% of IR content in that 175mW total output.

You generally only get at most 150-160mW of actual green out of even 'good' 200mW modules.

As far as putting them in tight spaces.. Well it's possible.. Just requires some creativity on both battery selection, and module modification.
