Hi Jerry, it wouldn't matter if they were planning on donating all the money to the LPF. The LPF is not a registered non-profit organization, so it cannot take raffle money or it would be breaking the law and subject to the legal entanglements of illegal gambling. I also doubt that the guy/company running the raffle is a non-profit as non-profit status requires a lot of paperwork and IRS filings, plus it costs ~$700 USD each year to be a non-profit.

If paying Taxes were an Olympic event,
we CANADIANS would be the gold winners for years to come...
only to have the meddles confiscated as part of the "debt restructuring plan"
implemented by Revenue Canada....

just give the money to a real charity like "Wounded Warriors" or "The CNIB"

point of clarification,
the Swedes actually get value for their tax dollar.
We Canadians do not.
case and point:
I had a Cyst develope on my left wrist in March of 2010,

tried to have a Doctor look at it back in April of 2010,
tried 8 walk in clinics, 4 ER's, 2 Urgent care facilities and 2 different plastic Surgeons but NO ONE OFFERED ANY TREATMENT OF ANY KIND FOR THE CYST!!
08/11/2010 infection causes swelling in part of left hand,

ER keeps me waiting for 11 hours :wtf:
till a Plastic Surgeon can look at it,
this Surgeon bolluxes the lancing proceedure and my whole hand sweels to about the same sized as my thigh,
i have been on 24/7 IV antibiotics ever since and I may still end up loosing my left hand, possibly my entire left arm! :lasergun:

so don't tell me we get value for our tax dollar!!! :mad:
 
Easy now, I am not telling you what you get for your dollars.
I am saying that we, the Danish, get good value for ours. :)
I guess the Swedish get it too since they like taxes even more than us.

BTW: you are still way better off then the US with regards to healthcare.
They have something like twice the expense of every other 1. world country, with more uncovered.

What's ignorant is calling someone ignorant when not comprehending
what was posted...:shhh:

He was referring and comparing to Yanks (ie United States citizens)..
Referring to your supplied link... Canadians top the States as to the
most taxed...:beer:

I wouldn't participate in this raffle at the other place if I was paid and given all the tickets free.

Defamation of character is one thing they excel at Dave so it suprises me they would ban you for supposedly doing it.

Which olympic events involve only US and Canada? :)
(Just trying to relieve the NA-centricism here, the rest of the world exist too.:D)

Meatball surgery bro. I've lanced and drained 5 of those. Never let them get that big. After you lance it just make an appointment to get them removed. By the time your appointment comes up, it will not be infected anymore, and you're out the doctors door in under 20 minutes.
 
The problem is not getting OUT the Doctor's door in Canada...
it's getting IN...

I've had a small cyst at the same place as Loose... It doesn't
bother me and doesn't move around (like it used to do)...
I've left it alone for years and it has left me alone...:D

I get them regularly, so I'm an old pro. I've had at least 6 cut out, and I have 5 now (that I know of) that are going to be removed shortly. Its a quick operation. If you have the opportunity to get rid of them, you should. They can turn cancerous.

I hate having Doctors Practice on me unless it's
absolutely necessary..:eek:
