16350 run time on a 300mw 532

Those images are the old batteries. I have to licb 16340s on the charger now, so far they're at 200mah and climbing!

Batteries stopped at ~300mah, not bad for a first charge. They both showed as 4.1v on the charger before i charged them.

Laser is DEFINITELY stronger and is DEFINITELY in a different mode, dot looks much nicer, not as centered as id want it in the hole, but oh well.

Now burns electrical tape when its not even focused.

Its crazy intense now compared to what it used to be. these batteries rock!

Glad you got some decent batteries. :)

Me too!

I have Efest ones on the way as well, but these for sure are MILES ahead of the previous, ive gotten like 15 minutes of burn time so far and its not done yet!

Keeping the duty cycles in mind, the host is getting pretty warm XD

LICBs 700mah 16340s get an A+ from me

Well, I was at >30 minutes of burn time and i got bored. I never ran the battery dead.

Back on the charger it went.

You guys were right, better 16340s were the best option.

Amazing how this was a battery issue. If a 532 laser dims in a minute or so i'd think there would be some thermal problem there. You'll figure out there is not by running it of a bench supply but still.

I wonder how those really shitty batteries are made. Surely 1000 mAh from a 16340 sized cell is hardly possible, but a few hundred should not be a problem for even the cheapest designs out there.

If it gets below 100 mAh or so i'd suspect full on fakery with a little button cell connected between the terminals and sand filling the case to give it some weight.

Personally i'd be inclined to open those ultra low capacity ones just to see what's actually inside, though i cannot recommend doing so since it can be quite dangerous.

I did, check the previous page! :D

It was a full cell but it was likely pulled from the trash or something.

Now that its a bit darker, im going to recreate the hallway shot with the new batteries

EDIT

New beamshot with new batteries, this is definitely brighter by a long shot, it made my phone shorten the exposure a bit and it still overloaded the sensor in the middle. Look at the friggen light coming off of that thing!

It apparently couldnt focus either lol

EDIT

Battery that produced that beam after 30 minutes of burning (and was still going!) charged to an apparent 687mah!

if that figures even CLOSE to accurate, these are some gooooooooooooooooooooood batteries
