I am bidding (and hoping to win) a CO2 laser off of Ebay. I just had a few questions:
1) I will be needing to travel with this, and it will surely break in a suitcase (Savage Airlines ;D ). I was wondering where I could find a nice little hardcase, or if someone has something to spare.
2) Does anyone know where I can find some good goggles for that power/wavelength?
3) Does anyone have a PSU to spare? (willing to pay of course )
4) It is a watercooled unit, and so I need a watercooler. I have had experience with that kinda stuff before,in water coolling PC's. Although this unit should have more options regarding water cooling, as the space is not limited. I know the cheapest way to do it is to hook one end up to the good ol' water hose in my backyard, and the other end to the drain... but that doesn't sound to neat, and I wonder what the Fire Marshall will think (behind my house is a fire station, and next door to me lives a cop and a fire marshall ;D ;D ) when he sees some Iranian playing with a 15Watt laser... ;D ;D
I could use a standard computer water cooling set, with the reservoir/fans/pump/etc. but then I would have to do some hotwiring to get the power to the water cooling unit set (they run off of the modular power sockets on the PSU's in computers).
So, is there another cheap alternative?
thanks,
