12X Blu-Ray Build

Hi all, I went today to the customs and finally got my order from DTR
So I have build a 405nm pen. The housing is from a 85mW green, which I will use for another project. The power should be something between 450mW and 550mW I think, but I don't have a LPM.

Yeah, so here are some pics:

Smart switch is boring. The new ghetto switch technology is much cooler.
Just joking , I haven't a head for this switch, so I've made one out of hot glue . Works quite well ^^.

I suggest to Glue the Module into the Pen With this:

Yeah, would be a nice idea too. but first i have to save a bit money because i bougt a lot stuff from DTR .

Glue may Melted and Damage your Diode From OverHeat.

Or you can add a solder blob to each side, and file it down until it is just the right size to fit in, but won't budge. Then get it in all the way minus the focus ring Other than that, great build! I love the ingenuity of the button haha.

edit: okay, i now glued the module inside the host and used some thermal paste
