That is a very cool looking laser. Why on earth are you selling your own custom laser?

And as a side note, that is the closest looking laser to a lightsaber I've ever seen :o

Have you measured it, or was that the "Chinese" power rating?

How does the heatsink attach to the host? And why do you say "lots of arctic silver"? Is the module loosely fitted?

Looks very similar to a RPL. Nice work on the Machining.

It mean its used in all contact surfaces. Heatsink is a press fit. Can be removed if necessary but I can't see why you would want to.

I measured it and got about 130mW at several meters from the laser.

Not trying to stomp on your thread, but i hope you know that brass is a really bad heat conducter...
You should've used copper, or at least aluminum...

Its more than adequate in this situation given the size of the sink. Besides, the 532nm module is made from brass so it must be ok.

I think brass is fine. Lots of factory built laser modules are brass. Aluminum would be my preference though.

What's stopping you from machining the same head from aluminum? Then you wont have as much as of a color difference between body and head.

Cost/efficiency tradeoff here is probably ok. Otherwise, the quality looks fantastic!

I thought the weight and look of brass would be nice here. I can use aluminium as well of course, its even easier to machine than brass.

So? It's not like oxidization stops the heat conductivity...

I forgot that copper oxidizes green :o
