1W would be much for me too, it would be skill to wake up to dx selling it at $2 xD

Since it's only 5mW Dx will probably sell it for less than $.10 adding the awesome newish host will probably be an extra dollar so itll probably only be $1.10 XD

I seem to remember a mention either here or on another forum that these are single-mode up to around 50mw? A bonus for the low power the OP is after.

How critical is temperature for the lasing threshold / output?

At what settings you could get stable low output from winter to summer temperatures?

On the two 445nm I tested in the shop... lasing started between 210mA
and 220mA @ ~7mW using a 405 G-1 lens..
It is easy to see when lasing starts.... the beam profile becomes more
focused and jumps in brightness with a small increase in current...
