1014 Lm Flashlight Review

Mostly for fun. Many would ask the same question about the big lasers many of us own :p
I just like being able to spot things at much greater distances than every flashlight I have used in the past. I saw an 8000 lumen single emitter flashlight at Walmart as well. I almost bought it but I didn't want to spend $170 for a flashlight. Couldn't imagine how bright that would be.

ILLUMINATE 70 Watt 8000 Lumen LED Rechargeable Tactical Flashlight

Be very glad you didn't buy that light.

It's 8000 lumens the same way as all those 5000mW green laser pointers are for $200.

Best option at the moment for a high output LED flashlight, would be the group buy for the X60 Supbeam.

Ok, thanks for the recommendation! I may look into that.

Will say that I haven't seen a flashlight with a USB port to charge other things. Maybe that is becoming more common? None of my lights have that. Neat idea.

In light charging, especially in lights with multiple batteries, can have issues.

Personally I'm not a fan because of the relatively low charge current... it takes a lot less time to pop the battery out, and stick it onto a dedicated charger.

It is helpful in some situations having to use the built in charger (like if you forgot to bring a charger with you) but yes, I still pop the battery out of my P25 when I charge the battery since the internal circuit charges to about 4.15V and the i4 charges to 4.20V.
