Hey this is just a thread about the laser I picked up from SwimminSurfer256's sale of overspec and, in my case, super-overspec green Lasers!
The laser cost me $19:drool: inside the U.S and it arrived at my house in just 5 days (counting the dreaded no-post Sunday)!
It arrived in a lightly bubble-wrapped sleeve inside of an envelope.
It arrived 100% scratch free and in perfect condition, not surprisingly :yh:
ANYWAY! What's really great about these lasers he is selling is that they are VERY over-spec... for a 5mW Pen Style Greenie.
The sticker on mine says <100mW, so technically it is an under-spec <100mw laser. BUT that's what the "<" sign is for
But seriously, for $19 this deal is way too great to pass up. While SwimminSurfer256 makes no guarantee of its power output,
the average for his Super-Overspecs is just shy of 70mW. It's even worth it just to buy the laser for the module inside!
Estimated Output: Anywhere from 65mW-75mW
This laser is WAY brighter than both my Lazerer Mini 532nm >50mW laser and another 532nm ~50mW module I have.
As soon as I turned it on, it was easy as pie to tell it was more powerful. What's awesome is that its only about 1/2 the price I paid for the Lazerer!
Since everyone here is a beam-shot addict, I present to you all...
BEAMSHOTS (enhanced with fog) :evil:
This next one I took shining it into a mirror as you could probably tell
Now this picture I found to be pretty cool! I found that the fog makes a really neat pattern in the air that is very
visible when you wave the laser around like a maniac (obviously with goggles on, which were on me and are on me when
I use this and other lasers) and take a picture at the right moment.
Pretty cool, eh?
To wrap things up, I'd just like to say that SwimminSurfer256 is offering a pretty great deal that you absolutely do NOT want to pass up.
Maybe I just got a lucky laser from his batch, but I'm more than happy with how it turned out. I plan on robbing the
module from it once I find a nice host for it
