i just ordered green 526nm 100mW class 3B laser
( its my first laser ) it says that its with IR filter, does it means that iam safe without googles while iam watchind dot on white wall, burning staff etc?

It could be without an IR filter or have a realy bad one for that price.Where did you buy it from? And with 100mW , no, you're not safe burning and looking at the dot on a white wall without goggles.And I think you mean 532nm.

thats the1 i bought

Oh ouch! :( i hate to tell you this but you could've hardly made a worse choice.Ebay is a really bad place to buy pen lasers and spymodex is one of THE "most worsest" distributors out there.So if you get lucky enough to get a working laser, it will probably be less than 100mW and will not have an IR filter.
If you can cancel it, by all means DO IT! And buy from a real company.

You just bought a laser from a known scammer. I'd try to cancel that shit as fast as you can.

oh thanks, i will try to cancel it, anyway can you aeplain me about that IR what it is and if i dont have filter why i have to use googles?

IR is light just like green but it's at a wavelength beyond what you can see, and you need goggles because you can get hit with IR light and not even know until it was too late (eye damage)

You need goggles for green too not only IR::) You need goggles for any color if it's higher than 5mW (basicly).

i received it today and its real shit >:(
i hope they will answer my email about money refund and i take my money back heh

i payed 50 pounds (about 100 dolars) so it should be true about that IR filter
Also, I'm not sure what you mean by this but by all accounts, the price you pay is not a guarantee for quality or an IR filter. Especially not on eBay. And 100 dollars is simply not a lot of money for a 100mW laser, then again it's probably not even close to 100mW.

oh good news, i received letter from the seller that he will do money refund with no problem :), so now i have to find good company laser ;)

You are safe watching the dot on a wall, 100mW is absolutely nothing in that sense.

On the other hand, if you get hit by a reflection of the beam then say goodbye to your eyesight for a while.

[smiley=huh.gif].....SUNSPOTS!!

On a more serious note, besides sunspots, what does the IR actually do to one's eyes?(I know it's something we can't see but is harmful).
