I only looked at the first, and I can tell you right away, do not use flashlight drivers with lasers!!

A lavadrive would work much better.

It looks like you haven't read the New Members Stickies....
Before you start asking Noob questions you should do a bit of
reading first.... There is a wealth of info here on the Forum...
But you will need to read.... read.... and read some more... 8-)

Um, isn't that 1W? Or maybe we could call it 1/200 of 200,000mW

Wow man, 10 ellipsis ( ... ) :o :o, were you exhausted, or out of breath when you wrote this post?

But serioulsy, read the stickies and try to be more descriptive for what you're going to do.

No... I wasn't exhausted... didn't you see I took a few pauses... :o

Since when are "Periods" or "Decimal Points" called ellipsis.... :-/ :-/
I thought an ellipse was a non symmetrical circle... like the path of a comet around
the sun...  :-?
BTW... I hate commas... they only give one time frame of a pause...
where as this"..." is a short pause and this".........................." is a long pause.... ;D ;D ;D

What's the term for calling "one" unit, "one thousand, thousandth's"? As in 1KmW

^depends on the unit. Usually it's whatever comes after the prefix. In your example "1KmW", or 1 kilomilliwatt, there are actually two prefixes "kilo" and "milli". Milli equals 1/1000, and kilo equals 1000. Therefore the kilo and milli cancel each other out, which leaves a Watt. 1KmW = 1W. For the record, using two prefixes kilo and milli together never happens in actual usage, since to do so is pointless when you can just say 1W.

If you have 50mW, as another example, then since milli equals 1/1000, 50mW equals 50/1000 of 1W. In this case the prefix is milli and the unit is the Watt. 50mV is 50 millivolts. Once again, milli is the prefix, volt is the unit.

If you have 1km as another example (or 1 kilometer), it means there are 1000 meters to one kilometer.

Here's a pretty thorough list of prefixes and their values: http://www.unc.edu/~rowlett/units/prefixes.html
