1 watt 808nm laser build for 75 bucks.

I'm not sure, the module is 9mm too, that means that the thickness of the module walls is 0mm.

Impossible.

And also, low power module like those use small less powerful 5.6mm laser diodes; 9mm package are the ones that provide more power.

Allright guy seriously, you don't get it? *sigh*

The diode-module is 9mm. Period. Just drop it. You have been informed what housing to get already.

If hes using the MXDL, I think Jayrob makes machined heatsinks for those, and he also makes custom DDL style drivers that fit inside the host. Give Jayrob a PM, I'm sure he would love to help you out, hes got the stuff you need.

I've contacted them.

The price is $18.00 for the 9.00mm housing kit.

Regular mail is around $2.00 and $15.00 for Express Mail. Paypal is okay.

Part# HK10.4-V1.

Best regards,

Steven

This is module as on this picture:

It's not bad deal.

It's much cheaper.
Only problems is that module comes with acrylic lens that is not good for IR lasers.

btw....
Why is no one interested in 9mm modules?

EDIT:

Rayfoss sells 9mm laser housing :D
Rayfoss

Price is great but it looks strange.
Do anyone know what are these pieces for?
How to install diode?

At this time you couldn't find any 9mm modules for reasonable price.

Today you have ebay and o-like where you can find these modules for very good price.

Bad thing about olike modules is that they come with glass lens that has 5.5mm FL (it's longer FL than aixiz modlules have) and that means that less light would go trough lens. (unless you have FAC)

Also, earlier when I asked Susie about wavelength she told me that lens wasn't optimized for 808nm but for "red lasers".

Maybe they have new lenses now, or they are wrong about this description on web page.
