1 watt 650nm handheld

AFAIK ATM the only person who would be willing to attempt something near 1W with 650nm is wannaburn with his 2ld design.

Shame he seems to have dropped off the forum lately:(

Had a long and difficult summer, but im back with a vengeance :eg:

Got some interesting projects cooking.. One of them is a .8-1W 650nm. Have to
pick up where I left off, but I have the head already cut for one of these :D

Welcome Back Buddy.^^^

Cant wait to see it.:D Red is my Favorite Color.:eg:

Thanks

Im looking forward to an interesting red build, been thinking of it for so
long, and it been put off so many times, feels like im starting from scratch...

^^^ I would also want a 600+mW 650nm laser too.

Different WL different color.:)

Its not just about brightness.:)

They f'd up and I got something better. It will light a white wick candle.

What did the offer you now.? Do you have a link to the laser.?

Hope you dint send more funds.!!!

I think you might want to check these out.

:D
. Maybe even 2x in 1 build.:) Or 2x of the 500mW ones when they get back in stock.:p

But needs Correction. I know you can handle that.:p

I have a few c-mount 1W 635's but the beam just isnt the same. Im looking at an array
because from what ive seen in experimenting in labbies, the profile is much nicer.

The one thing I dont like with multi-mode reds is the 'square-ish' beam.. Maybe in the future
I will play around with the 635's again..

I have tried both lavas cylindrical lenses and a prism pair, and couldn't get rid
of the uglyness :undecided:

Hey, Well speak of the :eg: Welcome back!

Can't wait to see some multi ld builds... if you can correct the 635 optics that would be epic.

Btw, now that you're back I think I'll finally send you that powerlight - still running perfect just a bit weak as it did before.

A .8W 650nm... that would be something great to see in person.

@wolfram - What did they offer you instead?

This is what I orderd "http://www.boblaser.com/productsinfo.asp?ArticleID=775"
This is what I received"http://www.boblaser.com/Products.asp?EnBigClassName=Infrared%20Laser%20Pointer&EnSmallClassName=980nm%20Infrared%20Portable%20Laser" The bottom one.

^^^If you can, send everything back and get a refund.

Definitely be VERY careful with that IR laser. Even though you can see only a dim dot, it is quite dangerous.

I second that. Send everything back and get a Refund and buy a Laser from a Respected and trust worthy Company. "Lazerer.com"

Bob lasers in fact is over priced to so you can probebly get something better for the same amount of money you spent.

They would not take it back . The company gave me some BS info and an address of some guy in texas that was supposed to have gotten my red laser by mistake. Bob told me to work out the issue with the other guy. then send it back. Yeah ...Right.! I dont even know the person. NOT My Prob! US law states that if a company sends the wrong merchandise, it a gift.

I have many pears of IR Glassess

If you paid with a credit card, call your CC company and open a dispute.

You can claim bait and switch.

If you're looking for cheaper, but still good quality lasers, try lazerer.com... or you could go with laserglow if you don't mind spending quite a bit more.
