Hello,
First of all, I know you guys aren't medical professionals, but I'm looking for some insight until Monday when eye doctors are open.
I recently purchased a 1.5W laser using the NDB7875 module. I ordered glasses at the same time, but they did not show up before the laser did. I didn't want to use the laser before getting the glasses, but I decided to make sure I put the batteries in correctly.
The room was smokey from incense and pitch black. I stood in the corner of my room and aimed it at my black painted nightstand (13ft away). I turned on the laser for almost exactly a second before noticing i missed and instead hit my shiny watch on the top of the table. It did reflect into my eye but I closed my eyes as fast as I could, and had the laser shut off within 1 second.
My eyes seemed fine and still seem fine 24 hours later. No alterations to my vision what so ever. No floaters, no burn in image, no blurriness/wavy lines. My vision feels as sharp as ever.
I replicated the event with a 5mw laser of identical wavelength, and it appears to have spread the beam out dramatically almost painting the whole wall.
So my question is, is it possible to be fine right now, but have issues come up later? Or did I get extremely lucky with the situation? I know you don't know the answer, but if anyone has a more "likely" scenario based off experience I would be very grateful.
Either way, I do have my od6 glasses now. Thank you guys for all and any help!!
