Just got mine sent. Does anyone know how this laser compares to the Spartan 1w in terms of burning power? My friend owns a SPartan and was wondering if this wil be able to keep up with his. Thanks :) cant wait for mine to come

You will have the advantage of being able to focus your laser to a fine point. This will enable you to burn "better" The actual power of the lasers should be so similar that you will not notice a difference in visibility.

Man this wait is killing me... and I only had it sent on the 23rd (thanks yobresal for sending it out so quickly). Then again I know I have to wait longer for it to come into Canada but USPS kills me with no updated tracking info. Anyway what OD rating goggles should I get... I was thinking OD 3 so the dot would look like 1mW, do people recommend a higher OD rating for this laser?

WOW! It arrived today although I was a bit worried since the wrist strap was hanging out of the envelope when I got it. Since I don't have laser glasses (ordering them tomorrow) I limited myself to a couple quick test fires and holy crap was it bright in a near pitch black back yard. I wanted to do a skyward beam shot but thought better of it when I saw at least 3 planes overhead.

Glad it made it safely! Kind of surprised the wrist strap made it out the envelope. Weird.

It looked like the end rubbed through the corner of the envelope in transit since there was a hole that was almost the exact same size. Now to go make the final choice of safety glasses and them ordered along with some rechargeables for it. :cool:

I include rechargeables with each laser so you should already have a set.

hmm. Were they in the laser or separate in the envelope because there weren't any batteries in it when I got it. I wonder if the USPS decided to confiscate them or if they fell out? :thinking: I took a picture of the envelope before I opened it in case the laser was damaged if you want me to post it.

This guys lasers rock. No problems with a Savage like this guy he's been cranking out the lasers latley.Very happy with the last 2 i have recived from him.
