1-1.2 watt 445nm lasers

Re: 1-1.2 watt 445nm lasers CHEAP $180

May i know the lifetime for the laser?

Re: 1-1.2 watt 445nm lasers CHEAP $180

Alright, i'm getting another one, good stuff here

Re: 1-1.2 watt 445nm lasers CHEAP $180

Got mine today, looks great, very sturdy and solid looking, however, I need a battery charger as the batteries obviously didn't come charged, I'd presume after trying.

Any thoughts on where I should get the cr123a battery charger?

Preferably NOT from dealdash.com (bought laser from there, took 3 weeks to arrive), price can be up to 40, thanks!

Re: 1-1.2 watt 445nm lasers CHEAP $180

Thanks for the info, just bought the $10 one off Ebay. Can't wait for it to arrive and try this bad boy out!

Re: 1-1.2 watt 445nm lasers CHEAP $180

Just received mine today. Super fast shipping that's for sure, it basically only took a day it seemed like from CA to IN. The laser itself is a good build quality. I just tested the beam in the dark and it is very bright even with almost dead batteries. I still have to get glasses for these so I can get some pictures. If anyone is looking for a awesome laser like this, and doesn't want to wait months to get one or have to worry about customs. Then this is the way to go!

Re: 1-1.2 watt 445nm lasers CHEAP $180

I orderd mine last Saturday and got it Tuesday even with no usps on monday! and its everything i imagined. very bright, qnd the focusable feature is great. the beam closer to the aperature looks about as thin as a hair when you focus it but can also be just a staright beam all the way down and will cause most things to smoke instantly. even flat white paint on a wall. oops.

I really like the effect when you focus it wide its like a flood light on a tall tree or hill. it does seem to get hot quickly but cool just as quick it seems. I have noticed also like someone else said it seems hard to ignite black paper cause its either to small of a beam and fries it or its wide and kind of leaves a red hot ring but i think with practice it could be done. the beam at night is really cool although like others have said it does seem to be skinny for a good distance but then gets bigger. my 150mw green from skylasers appears to shine for ever were this one sort of fades out, it was night but kind of low clouds so that may be why it looked this way i dont know.

all in all i love it and the guys at work think its amazing really really good buy and i am SO GLAD i cancelled my order from olike for there 445nm 1w. to get this one.

sorry no LPM readings :(

By the way if anyone is interested i got the batteries located here. Combo Kit: 6 RCR123A 3.0V 750mAh LiFePO4 Rechargeable Batteries with a Smart Charger they say they charge 2 in 5 hours but from frsh out of the package they charged in about 2 hours so far so good. shipping was 1 day longer from the east coast then the laser took. laser came from west coast and im smack in the middle.

Re: 1-1.2 watt 445nm lasers CHEAP $180

Those are nice batteries but I recommend 3.7V (4.2 on full charge) VS the 3.0V batteries.

Re: 1-1.2 watt 445nm lasers CHEAP $180

I see a lot of the 3.0V Batteries, but where is the best place to get the 3.7V?

that sucks. i posted on page 9 about which charger i should get and stuff but i didnt see much response so i went with these. am i losing output power or just runtime do you think ? its plenty bright for me either way but i am curious.

you should mention this in the OP cause i was kind of stressing over it my self but i figured 3.0v would be ok.

Thanks for the great laser though!

Re: 1-1.2 watt 445nm lasers CHEAP $180

i use the tenergy LiFePO4 charger for the LiFePO4 tenergy batterys and the ones he included. It charges both great!

I cant imagine this is a good idea to charge the batterys that come with the laser with that charger. I have that charger but it says on the package it cannot charge any 3.6v cell or it will cause explosion. Be careful EXOsport

Re: 1-1.2 watt 445nm lasers CHEAP $180

3 V work fine they are 3.6 on full charge with a combined voltage of 7.2 they will work just as well as the 3.7V ones but the runtime will be the same too but the output may start to sag when the batteries are dying.

Re: 1-1.2 watt 445nm lasers CHEAP $180

Oh ok, do u know if the laser will dim down to faint blue before the minimum safe voltaqge for these lifepo4s or will it be bright past then. I used half dead normal cells and about a days off and on it was just aa blue faint light. Not sure of the voltage on those when it stopped lasing. I'm still very new to this. Thanks for the info!!

I do not know. I have not done thorough testing with 3.0V cells.

I only have 2 left and will then be out for about ~10 days
