Doesn't work for mine, since for some reason I dont have a physical key! However... I did get this info:
Pin 1: Remote interlock A
Pin 2: Remote interlock B
Pin 3: Tube Current Monitor
Pin 4: Safe GND
Pin 5: Tube Voltage Monitor
Pin 6: Safe GND
Pin 7: Force Idle -
Pin 8: Force Idle +
Pin 9...
I know :P
Was just hoping I might be able to squeeze a yellow line out of it or something!
Gotta decide in the next few minutes if I even want to go through the trouble of going to look at it. Already have a whitelight laserphysics (that I still haven't played around with...)
Makes sense! Do these have external mirrors? it's only 150 bucks, but I'm not sure if I want another big ion laser for just a red line. Already have a garage full of 165's and 168's
Oh one other question, what do you think about that model number? I can't find any info on it anywhere... it doesn't seem to follow the standard "RYB"-type naming convention as all the others I've seen. I can't even begin to guess what 643A-MOLD-A01 means.
Not sure what your budget is, but I see these psus on eBay all the time for under 100 bucks. I picked one up for 50 a couple weeks ago. Just shop a bit and you'll find one.
Also for what it's worth the power supply doesn't have to perfectly match the model number, so long as it's a cyonics...
Hey guys,
I've stumbled upon a whitelight omni 643 for very very cheap. I'm going to check it out tomorrow, and would love to try to power it up before handing the money over.
Does anyone have the pinout info for the omni power supply that goes with the 643 head? Thanks!
If I can't power it...
Not sure which one it is to be honest... All the stickers were removed except the one I took a picture of. It DOES say 1W max, the head itself is about 2.5ft long. I know it is 240V single phase but that's about it.
I got a stupid good deal on it, $200 on ebay. Figured it would arrive dead, but the tube is gas intact, so hopefully she'll light up. Been super busy at work and buying a house so haven't had much time to tinker with it.
The last couple days I've been playing with my HeCd lasers and I got the...
I've been looking for some time and cant find anything. If you know which pins to jump together to get it to start, that would help immensely!!!
In the mean time, here are some pics of mine:
Hey Guys,
I think I also have one of these laserphysics whitelight units laying around. I've never tried to fire it up because I wasn't sure how to defeat the interlocks. Anyone know what I need to have in place at a mnimum for it to fire up?
It has been sitting in my garage for the last year...
Fast forward 8 years....
Does anyone know the specs on the main ceramic capacitor on the starter board for this laser? I just pulled the laser out today for funsies and never replaced the starter cap I mentioned at the beginning of this thread.
I did, however, remove it. SO now I have an open...
Ha! That's funny! I got this thing quite a while back and it just sat in my garage. I'm finally getting everything cleaned up, adding a dedicated 240V 60A outlet, and have a proper work bench so I'm excited to try to fire this thing up!
Hey guys,
Need some help with this laser! Hoping someone has the pinout for the controller, as I have no idea how to fire this up.
The tube IS gas intact, and has the correct color glow for an Ar/Kr. The mirrors also appear to be white light optics.
No idea the brand or output or anything. Any...
Re: Holy @#$%... $120 488nm diode!!
As far as I remember, the flex is a buck/boost. It will run a 405/445 diode on a single lithium battery, just not sure of the current limits. I seem to remember that it was around 1.5A
