    Red laser for cat

That's good to know, I'm in a pretty small rural town right now so its a little less likely that a dollar store near me would have them.

    Red laser for cat

Yeah my cat was originally adopted as a stray by my wife's grandfather. She's not as playful as other cats I've met but she's super sweet and affectionate. I'm not too worried about her going crazy but I'll definitely keep that in mind. Its nice to have a fully developed prefrontal cortex haha

    Red laser for cat

Thanks for the recommendation, just what I'm looking for. They also have the BTE-4S that has a 1.0-5.0mW range as opposed to the BTE-4 with the 3.0-5.0mW range. I don't need the constant on switch but I might go with the option that could be slightly lower power.

    Red laser for cat

Hello! My wife and I recently adopted her grandfather's cat after he passed away. I don't think that my cat would appreciate going blind playing with any of my current lasers (1200mW - 5W). I'm looking for a decent quality red laser that is truly <= 5mW and preferably made in the US. I wouldn't...

US Laws regarding personal sales for class IV lasers

I appreciate your concern then :) Responses like this are what keeps me lurking on these forums.

US Laws regarding personal sales for class IV lasers

I would suggest the possibility that said web queries* were already done on this subject, and the post may have been made to clear up any confusion after said web queries ;) I am just going to assume that you made this response based on seeing "new member" under my name not recognizing that I...

US Laws regarding personal sales for class IV lasers

That is solid advice, I'll definitely explain that to my friend ;) I mean there is the statute of limitations and I highly doubt its more than a few years, but definitely not worth the risk, I don't want to see him in jail or anybody getting hurt, its not worth the couple hundred he would get...

US Laws regarding personal sales for class IV lasers

Oh for sure, thats what I'm worried about. I've been very explicit in cautioning people including a screenshot of proper class IV safety precautions, but I don't know if that is legally binding given the grey area of selling this in the first place. I would much prefer nobody gets hurt but I...

US Laws regarding personal sales for class IV lasers

That would make sense. I certainly wouldn't consider a nubm44 in an s4x host a "pointer" haha

US Laws regarding personal sales for class IV lasers

Yeah that is kind of my thought process on it, though you can never predict some concerned mom with nothing better to do seeing your post and reporting to local authorities that also have nothing better to do.

US Laws regarding personal sales for class IV lasers

Hi, Hypothetically, if somebody had built 2 lasers with a power output well over 500mW a few years back and was potentially looking to get rid of them, could they legally sell them on a craigslist / facebook marketplace type of classifieds, even without a key switch on said laser? Buyers would...

    Styropyro-style 532nm 200mW Altoids Laser

Thats awesome that your dad has access to an lpm. That video is what inspired me to build my first diy laser, though I did a 1 watt blue build in an altoids can with a big heatsink block and a 9 volt battery hahaha. Edit: I may end up repurposing the diode though as it is a 2 watt blue diode...

What *NOT* to do with a Class IV Laser

Yeah, I came across this video a couple weeks back, I was secretly hoping the laser would damage his camera lens but I realized that he makes millions (can't remember the exact figure) every year, so he wouldn't really care about any monetary damage, and even with how irresponsible he is, I...

    more sphere/cylinder pics 10/22

These pictures are absolutely breathtaking! Makes me want to grab a spartan 589nm and do some photography myself, though I don't have all of the mirrors and prisms for those effects you have going on. +rep

    Survival Lasers Review

As a foreword, I was not sure wether to place this in the reviews or the companies subforums. On 11/24 I ordered a Survival Lasers S4X host assembly, some eagle pair glasses and some misc. items using their blackfriday 20% discount (hell yeah!) A few days later I was notified that my order had...

Going to the Eye Doctor today...

Well, good and bad news, the pigmentation from my unintelligent decisions with the ebay laser is still there, but there is no new damage from my more powerful lasers :) my stigmatism is getting worse in my eye so I have to wait a little while to thing about lasiks. But hey the eagle pair glasses...

Just ordered Survival Laser S4X, what now?

Yeah, I ordered four of the lg 18650s on amazon, gonna compare with the ultrafire batteries in a cheaper laser.

Going to the Eye Doctor today...

And yes, since the time I caused the eye damage, I have begun to practice proper safety and I "grew up" so I actually know what Im doing. Let this be a lesson to all : even if a laser is rated for 5mw, they can easily cause damage to your eyes and safety glasses are required!

Going to the Eye Doctor today...

Well its time for my yearly eye appointment to check and see if my vision has gotten worse since the last time I was there. Ive been doing quite a bit of 'lasing' since then so I guess we will see if my safety glasses have been doing their job hehe. I also had some pigmentation on my eye from a...
