Hak,
You are absolutely right. You were very much involved and I don't know what I was thinking. I spoke in haste without thinking and I am very sorry. You and Gray make a supreme team and you both held the same regard for your customers. please accept my apology.
Everything I said about...
Jetlasers is a GREAT company.
JetLasers is one of the best companies I have ever dealt with, period. I don't say this lightly.
I have two of their lasers. I had an issue with one and was personally contacted by their representative Gray who wanted to ensure I was happy with my product. He...
Re: Lasers in the Fog at midday - New Video Added
Here is a cool video of the Jetlaser PL-E 445nm as it lights up the smoke in our campfire under windy conditions a few nights ago. We later talked to other campers who were in awe of the light show as it lit up the smoke layer high in the sky.
My son and I were returning from camping today and we departed in a dense fog. At noon you could see even a 5mw 532nm laser easily in daylight. The blue laser is 1.275w.
That was a joke man. My telescope is way bigger than the laser. I was just poking fun at the size of the Laser so I made a comical image to go along with it. I am planning on getting a lower power 532nm for astronomy. This one will be for cool factor and contacting ET. (another joke)
:wtf:
OK, that's too big. Can I get a smaller unit? I thought I could keep it in my shirt pocket.
I was planning on mounting it on my telescope, but now I will have to find a way to mount my telescope on the laser.
That's funny, I am hoping YOU live either close to Houston or near Newton NC, because I don't. :D
ETA:
Washington, D.C. MD suburbs actually, Gaithersburg, MD to be more accurate.
Thanks to all for the expedient help with my questions. This forum is quite an amazing resource with some knowledgeable, high quality folks on it.
Is it just me or are all those text color choices made to closely match most of the laser diodes out there?

Thanks. I know it's more power than I need, but I have been wanting to get a high power laser for years. I'd rather get one I can use for all purposes rather than getting a few of them. I just got a LaserGlow Galileo-5, 5mw 532nm laser today for my son. I went outside and pointed it up and...
Would you expect the JetLaser to last as long, as durable?
Jetlaser does not say if the PL-E 800mw has 100% duty cycle?
Is the 800mw noticeably brighter? That is one thing that could sway me. I like the fact the Hercules has a 0-200hz TTL input and that it takes D-cells.
The JetLaser has 10...
Pointing at the sky mostly.
ETA:
I noticed you have both a Hercules-325 and a JetLaser PL-E 800mw, which I was looking at. I have concerns about the Chinese JetLaser company. Would you consider that laser equal in quality to the Hercules? What is the duty cycle on that PL-e 800? At twice the...
