Which pair of these AAA's would you use in your pen type laser pointer @ 5mW.....? 3.7volt Lithiums,3.5 volt Alkalines,or 3.2 volt rechargeable NIMH and why? Thanks,Huck50
Yeah....I meant E-Bay! So the Sony diodes are a 'good' thing, maybe that's part of why their lasers are so expensive,at least the 5mW one I am looking at?!
Thanks,Huck50
Is says on their web-site that the use Sony diodes in their pointers....is that a 'good' thing? What diodes are used in the cheap $15 E-pay pointers? Thanks,Huck50
Curious as to why this Houston,Texas based company Extreme Lasers has not been mentioned here much? I just found it and I am interested in their Professional Grade 5mW green laser pointer for $269.00. Anyone buy from this company and if so,have any comments, good or bad?? Thanks,Huck50
Yeah,I agree! My last "hobby" was led flashlights, which I started out with one 6D cell Maglite, then got the led conversion for that, then a Fenix TK-41,then about 5 more lights....only so much you can do with a flashlight! Same thing with a laser pointer( I have 2 and one more coming!)
Can only...
That sounds more like it! So let's say it "can" project out to 20,000' (close to 4miles),would that same beam be super bright and well focused out to say 1000 yards? Thanks,Huck50
Yeah...when you think about it,you could have a pointer that projects out to 10 miles, but if your old eyes like mine only see out to one mile, what's the point?! Thanks,Huck50
New to lasers,so I saw one particular compny selling a >$200.00 5mW green laser with a projection range of 20,000 feet. Is this range possible for a 5mW green laser pointer which has 'superior' lenses? They are saying it is 5mW exactly?! Thanks,Huck50
Thanks! I have some AA Eneloops that I bought for my last "hobby",that being led flashlights, for which I have (5),but wasn't sure that the 1.2 volt rechargeables had enough power. I have the Powerex Wizard One charger,so maybe I will grab a pack of AAA Eneloops. Thanks,Huck50
What are the "best" AAA batteries for use in a pen type laser pointer....I am talking "throw aways" type. Dollar store AAA's work, but looking for the best performers. Not sure if the rechargeable AAA's have enough power(1.2 volts).? Thanks,Huck50
Yeah...maybe all the negatives I have read are 'old',but at least the e-mail communications are first rate,as I have sent at least 4 e-mails to WL and got a response back usually the same day.
Seems that laser pointers are similar to the flashlight led modules, not the same power rating as...
Man....don't tell me that!! LOL cause just today I was assured by WL that I would be getting a real 5mW Core....guess I will find out soon enough.
Is your Core the current production?
Seems that these lasers are similar to the led modules on some flashlights, hit and miss on the "true' lumen...
Hi: Just bought a Wicked laser Core without reading the 39 reasons. How close to the 5mW power rating would it be? Lots of good reading here for sure!
I am located in Ontario,Canada.Thanks,Huck50
Just wondering how many practical uses there are for your laser pointer other
than driving your dog or cat crazy, stargazing, or using on projection screen at meetings?
I am talking 5mW power and under. How many green pointers with a real
5mW can project the dot out to 200 yards on a dull (no...
Hi: My first 'real' laser, supposed to be 5mW,so how close to that spec would it be and is it a descent laser pointer? Seems to be some negatives about that company,so maybe I should have researched a bit first....just saw some vids on YT and they looked pretty good! (Core)Thanks,Huck50
