You do know that although the 635nm diodes are closer to the green spectrum than regular 650/660 reds visually it shouldn't be as bright even if they were both 30mw and even then he's right you have to lpm to test your theory.

Groove 2 isn't a boost it is a linear driver.

I'd say check laser66 on ebay for low powered ones. But for around $20 you can buy a 20mw 635 from modwerx.

You pretty much learn quite a few skills just putting together your first laser. It's all about the learning experiences.

This heatsink wasn't nearly as hard as the green I made. That host actually needed a step on the heatsink.
