    503nm build with many pics.

Yeah, so is the BlitzBuck - my last name is Blitz :p. I haven't made drivers in years so I'm surprised any of my wholesalers still have stock! Unfortunately, I'm out of the driver game now, but I imagine there are plenty of creative people who could use the cash you can make from drivers!

    503nm build with many pics.

Holy crap. I haven't been here in literally years, and I'm surprised my drivers are still playing a part in the community :D Glad to see it, and the color is beautiful!

    Well this is different

I live near Sacramento now. Haven't heard anything about this though.

Laser pointer as alternative volleyball net outside

If they all wore protective goggles, they wouldn't be able to see the net ;)

    Some New Astrophotography Stuff

For those who need some help locating stars - I found a great app called SkEye that uses your location, motion sensors, and internal magnetometer to show on the screen of your phone what it's pointing at. You can also search on the program to have it give to directions to orient yourself towards...

[PRICE DROP] Dichros, First Surface Mirrors, and Assorted Lenses

Re: Dichros, First Surface Mirrors, and Assorted Lenses USPS estimates it would be about $7 via standard post.

[PRICE DROP] Dichros, First Surface Mirrors, and Assorted Lenses

Hi everyone. Figured it's summer, so it's time to clean out my garage. Here are some items for sale. Assorted First Surface Mirrors As seen above, there are seven mirrors of the same shape and size, and a few other mirrors that are varied in size. The similar mirrors are 1.5" long. Price...

How Is This Possible? Scientists Observe ONE Particle Exist In MULTIPLE States

We should be clear - consciousness does not affect reality in any meaningful way. What affects reality is observation, which in this case, means interaction with the environment. What we consider observation (with our eyes) is the ambient photons bouncing off of whatever we are looking at which...

Need thin (fm) but wide beam

I'm pretty sure you're not going to get that small of a beam - that's smaller than the wavelength of light that you're looking at.

    Lasers Prohibited Aboard Cruise Liners?

Hi everyone - I'm going on a cruise with my fiancee in a few days, and I thought it would be really neat to bring some lasers aboard so I can take some beamshots over the ocean (my fiancee being an amateur photographer). I checked online, and it turns out that lasers are prohibited aboard most...

    Fully Adjustable Test Load Prototyping...

I was playing around with your design on a circuit simulator, and found that if you put a capacitor and resistor (in parallel with each other) in series with the 20k pot (right before it), you should get the results you want. I think it creates a current low-pass filter, rather than a voltage...

    Fully Adjustable Test Load Prototyping...

Ah, I see what you did here. Like you said on the other thread, maybe try a low-pass filter after the potentiometer leading to the op-amp? It's probably the fluctuations on the output of the driver causing the op-amp to go crazy, as you said. I'd like to see if it would work!

SuperBoost Drive (5.5+ amp boost driver)

Re: SuperBoost Drive I'd like to see your schematic, because I think we may be thinking of different things. But if you're keeping it to yourself, that's fine too ^_^

SuperBoost Drive (5.5+ amp boost driver)

Re: SuperBoost Drive Oh, sure. I guess that works. But if you're shoving the driver through a filter... doesn't that defeat the purpose of the test load? To see the ripple, the flaws with the driver?

SuperBoost Drive (5.5+ amp boost driver)

Re: SuperBoost Drive That could work, but you would be dissipating a lot of power through that filter. You could potentially get away with a current mirror or a current averager so that you can generate the identical signal from a linear supply?

SuperBoost Drive (5.5+ amp boost driver)

Re: SuperBoost Drive About your fully adjustable test load - with just a MOSFET, a resistor, an op-amp and some other parts, it won't work. I've tried it before, and unfortunately, there's something about the high-frequency nature of the IC that throws off the op-amp or something. I remember a...
