Looking for a fiber combiner for FAP800

Hello friends, Does anyone know where I might find 800um multimode fiber combiners to combine the power from multiple FAP800 diodes?

    Mother of all red diodes

Hi forum, I just finished mounting the mother of all red diodes. It is a custom-manufactured 635nm laser diode with an output power of perhaps 10 watts or more. Its lasing threshold is a whopping 4.5A, yet my power supply is only capable of 9. I'm sure it could handle at least 15. :-) Imgur...

WTB: >2A Boost Driver for Kryton Groove

Title says it all, looking for a >2A boost converter I can jam into a Kryton Groove host. Quite tired of these lame half-sized lithium ion batteries :-)

    Thermal sensitivity of red diodes?

My spectrometer says 650nm :-) If it were 808, I'd be quite afraid. The whole room illuminates bright red when this is on.

    Thermal sensitivity of red diodes?

Hi forum; I recently got my hands on quite a large red laser diode. I am not sure how powerful it is, /several watts at the very least/, but, the threshold current is 4.5A, and my power supply can only do 5 :-) >>Photo of diode<< Nonetheless, I have noticed a very strange characteristic with...

Diameter of AixiZ line generator lens?

Hi Forum, If anyone has one of these lenses handy, would you be able to tell me what the diameter of it is? http://www.aixiz.com/store/images/Line%20lens.jpg Thank you!

    Harvesting / Teardown of the Pico1 Projector - 450nm, 640nm, + non-DPSS Green

Wow, I gave her enough current to reach thermal equilibrium, and it's tem00. This has to be the most beautiful piece of laser+mems engineering I've ever seen. Imgur: The most awesome images on the Internet

    Harvesting / Teardown of the Pico1 Projector - 450nm, 640nm, + non-DPSS Green

@lazerman121, if you are referring to the first laser system, then sure. I repaired the bond wire with a blob of solder, and that got it lasing again. Though it's not as pretty as a pristine module -_- Anywhoo, I have some bad news for y'all. The laser projection module does not produce a...

    Harvesting / Teardown of the Pico1 Projector - 450nm, 640nm, + non-DPSS Green

Found the sled in the scrap bin! @Trendkilla254, PM me your address and I'll toss it in an envelope for a few bucks on venmo, and drop it at the post office next time I make it down to mountain view (may be a few days, my electronics lab is at home and I'm self employed) :-) New sled arrived...

    Unidentified Thermopile

Hi all, Has anyone by chance, seen this model thermopile? If so, have you any idea who made it? it is very nondescript. Two machine threads are drilled into the bottom of this aluminum block. (not pictured). Imgur: The most awesome images on the Internet Edit: Seems to be made by ophir...

    Harvesting / Teardown of the Pico1 Projector - 450nm, 640nm, + non-DPSS Green

I did forget to resize, though that was the least of my worries last night as I did screw up the bond wires. Though, now I know how to make this puppy sing, I should be able to get a white laser beam out of it. On the last unit, I made the mistake of removing a mirror, hoping to bypass the...

    Harvesting / Teardown of the Pico1 Projector - 450nm, 640nm, + non-DPSS Green

Bam. The laser diode is quite substantial; it would not lase until 300mA. I'm not sure how far it can be pushed... The second set of leads were a little heater for the titanyl phosphate crystal. It looks like I'll need to build a photodiode + derivative controller to keep the power steady...

    Harvesting / Teardown of the Pico1 Projector - 450nm, 640nm, + non-DPSS Green

The diode is without doubt 808nm. I can't get the system to lase 532, the other two leads may be a TEC. Approximately 4.5V was across them in the system.

    Be safe.

Hi folks, The scotoma has not disappeared as of yet, and I find it unlikely that it will. It's kind of annoying, too.

    Be safe.

I did not think so at the time either, but while staring out the window of a cessna the other day I noticed the injury. There wasn't enough 1/r^2 to prevent damage, evidently.
