Paste is there. Pwm isn't visually noticeable on low. Quality on the light that i received was quite high. I'm not sure what's up with the one you have.

I've heard that the flashlights are taking a long time. Apparently sold hundreds of them and took them completely out of inventory. Yours might be shipping from china because of this, which in turn takes forever to ship.

Yes. Considering when the voltage starts to drop, the current increases, it is something to worry about. Also, on 18650 batteries that are protected, the protection kicks in at 3.5 amps on a lot of them. This light really is awesome though... Lol
