    X-boost v7 micro driver question

Hi Members, recently I rebuilt my 445 project and I exchanged my linear driver to the X-boost v7 micro (capable of ~1.8A). I am powering it from a 18650 cell. Everything is fine till ~30 seconds, then the light begin flickering, starting slow, then getting faster. My driver is not heatsinked...

WTS: Sinner's "Secret Weapon" Host, X-Boost Driver

No problem, thanks. With that Judco switch I think I can easily finish the tail cap assuming that the threads inside fit the switch. It would be good to know it for sure before ordering the switch for much money. I contacted Sinner maybe he reads my pm and helps.

WTS: Sinner's "Secret Weapon" Host, X-Boost Driver

Found Judco 10A switch which should fit the thread in the host. Selling @Digikey, part number: 512PB-ND, cost around 2USD. BUT the shipping is ultra expensive, around 50USD to EU, that is unacceptable. IF anybody would send me one for a reasonable shipping fee I would be grateful. Otherwise I...

WTS: Sinner's "Secret Weapon" Host, X-Boost Driver

In the meantime I checked the thread diameter and it is 9mm. Unfortunately I could not find a single 9mm thread push button on the market so I am really lost. Normally I would think that there should be mounted a threaded switch in the hole then a spring glued between the inner side of the tail...

WTS: Sinner's "Secret Weapon" Host, X-Boost Driver

The host arrived today, thanks, H! It is beautiful and a nice base for my 462 project. I have already used the X-boost driver for my M140. Re-set it from 1.1A to 1.5A. Works flawless, but only ~30 seconds, then it starts flickering. I assume it can be the inbuilt heat protection. Can anybody...

WTS: Sinner's "Secret Weapon" Host, X-Boost Driver

Sure. It takes some time to get all the necessary components but I am not in a big hurry. @grainde: thanks for your offer, unfortunately I have to refuse it as my current funds are limited. I have sent you a PM.

    Anyone into flying Quadcopters/Drones?

Thanks for the words on this topic. Sure by the array I meant "overlapping IR laser diode spot beams in an array configuration", exactly. Currently I am using ~40W input power for ligting a ~15-20m area in front of the quad, with an IR LED array, that has light output around 3700mW. With those...

    Anyone into flying Quadcopters/Drones?

Unfortunately, it is not an option. We are heading toward small quads, mostly because FAA regulation. Even by increasing the IR LED wattage the illuminated distance is not increasing in a linear way. After some distance (30-40 meters) there is no reason to increase the power because the camera...

    Anyone into flying Quadcopters/Drones?

So I can race by night. Today's CCD and/or CMOS cameras are still not sensitive enough to view in pitch dark, without additional light. But it is not just about racing, but simply flying. Many times I get home just by the evening and I wanted a solution so I could fly in my spare time. Plus, it...

    Anyone into flying Quadcopters/Drones?

I am into drones for many years, and have had many DIY projects. Still, one point is open: night flying and suitable illumination. I tested some IR laser illumination: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_DjeshlDXwU but finally decided for an IR LED solution, like here...

Hello, I have found your post here...

Hello, I have found your post here: http://laserpointerforums.com/f72/two-hosts-new-built-friend-102234.html Would it be possible to build same host (for 2x18650) and if so, how much would it cost with shipping to Europe? Thanks, Robert.

    The dilda driver ?

Good idea, but somewhere on the forum I read that the 6.2 ohm resistor in parallel with the 220 microF capacitor form kinda filter for spikes I guess. Will not it be a problem if you bypass the resistor?

    New to dildas :)

Pressured air would help I guess. Have you measured the mA used at 202mW? Please do it if possible.

    DX200 red orig.driver mod to 200mW+ w/ 3.0V CR2

Re: DX200 red orig.driver mod to 200mW+ w/ 3.0V CR Finally. a 3.6V charger arrived. I have tested the dilda with freshly charged 3.6V batts this morning. The maximum current I could set was 320mA, anything above this could not be measured by my DMM, do not know why. The diode lased OK just no...

    DX200 red orig.driver mod to 200mW+ w/ 3.0V CR2

Re: DX200 red orig.driver mod to 200mW+ w/ 3.0V CR No. Unfortunately it does not work, because the charger charges up to 3.6V maximum, which is the nominal voltage of the 3.6V CR2 and that is still not enough comparing to 4.2V with freshly charged CR2s. Either I could modify the original...
