a CD laser puts out light in a wavelength that isn't visible to humans. Simple answer is no, but you could do it if you rly wanted to but it won't be powerful and you cant see it (barely)... PM SenKat and see if he has any DVD diodes left over, he sells them for 17.50, and they're brand new...

I think from IRC conversations that he'll be doing this for profit, and hes going to make a deal with the supplier to get them even cheaper possibly... so he might offer them at the same price while making some cash, and being able to move more even quicker than before. /me speculates

It was a PM to someone who just sold half a dozen electronic peices and was only a member on LC and thought that WL were the best lasers money could buy because they're the only lasers discussed there. Maybe it was a trap!
