Now that I'm used to the place, I usually login as part of my morning and evening routine after checking e-mail. I "mark forums read" when I logoff, and look at "new posts" when I login, and spend at most 1 or 2 hours a day here.

My cats (siblings, male and female) are very curious about the beam and the dot (both 532 and 473). They rarely chase the dot, but watch as though fascinated, and want to sniff the beam (when they get that close, I move it away). My girl Lily will stare at it and follow it around, but Yoda loses...

Yes, and many other good points above. "Book learning" has nothing to do with IQ. Idiot savants have a high measurable IQ, but have trouble communicating or interacting in society. Holders of degrees often have proved only that they paid an institution to teach them what the institution decided...

UV (black light) is very useful identifying traces of rodents. Their urine and feces glow. People have used them for years in warehouses, etc. to check for evidence of mice and rats. Here in the southwest, they're used to find scorpions hiding, which also glow under UV.

:paypal: I guess it's unlikely that many of the members that "use" the forums for purposes of lame entertainment (some seem to feel this site is as useless as 4chan) will ever contribute funds to LPF. Those people give little thought to anything beyond the internet access they take for granted...
