Morality question - Free batteries ???

The hell? I wrote up a whole reply and then see it's hypothetical. What man in his 50's as you say you are would need to ask these questions. YOU ARE A TROLL. Benefit of the doubt revoked.

Some pics today with a DSLR!

Thanks Radim and Arcticdude. Radim, the tripod I use is a mini Nikon one which cost me $30. The clamp is what arcticdude showed and I have two, they cost me $11 each. I also use a full size tripod sometimes for my other clamp, it's a cheap Amazon basics tripod. I also use two mic stands for the...

Sanwu Blue Laser - Silver Series Batteries?

Oh, I would think underdriving would be totally okay. Less current, less heat, longer life. But I see what you mean.

Sanwu Blue Laser - Silver Series Batteries?

How does it put more strain on the diodes? I'm both confused and interested.

Sanwu Blue Laser - Silver Series Batteries?

Email podo. Link him the batteries you're considering. See if he says they'll work.

Sanwu Blue Laser - Silver Series Batteries?

I have it and with the extension tube, which requires two 18650's you need button tops and some magnets. Probably actually four small magnets. They just aren't long enough otherwise.

    Laser recommendation?

Is this also true for IR lasers? I've been having trouble interpreting answers I got regarding this. I have an 800mw 980nm laser and obviously it's invisible but still can light matches. Will this diffused IR light still burn the retina or damage the cornea? To the OP, as EVERYONE has said, a...

A New Way To Deal With Flat Top Li-ion Batteries !

Lmao. Yes very true. Only a small blob is required, less than half an inch of solder.

A New Way To Deal With Flat Top Li-ion Batteries !

Actually that's a good idea, the O-ring.:thanks: I use a few magnets with my silver series made by podo, thing is it fits the batteries perfectly without the extension tube but needs the batteries when the tube is used. Even when the batteries have bumps. I haven't had problems with the magnets...

    638nm 700mW oclaro C6

I just remembered I believe it was back in October when I built that one, I think I had to stretch the spring once myself. Nasty little tail switch. The thing was I decided to not use a spring on the contact board and use a blob of solder instead; I could've made the blob a little bigger...

    638nm 700mW oclaro C6

Tbh, the C6 could handle 6 watts of power. The duty cycle might be ten seconds on, forty-five off, but basically any power is possible. The diode can be run without sinking for maybe one second or so.
