I have 100mW 405nm, I'm trying to burn things (balloons mostly) at a range, but before I got get a lot of them I'm wondering what my laser would prefer to burn:thanks:

Playing with lasers in doors is fun... But out doors is where the fun is. However, I do live in a city and I have neighbors. I'm kind, so I don't shine near anyone's house. But if I ever have a run in with police for my 'over 5mW lasers' I want to have a plan. BTW if there is a better way...

Thanks for the concern, but I got my order in less than week... I was surprised since it was free shipping. I'm sorta upset about the red laser not being brighter, but as some of the people of this forum have told me; Color is a sometimes a bigger player than 'mW' in determining a laser's...

I wanna build a very simple red laser 'pointer' However, I don't know where to get diode, driver, module, or case. I'm also looking for tips. For a 'bottom of the line' laser pointer. < 1-5mW. This first laser is so I can get some hands on experience so I'll know what I'm doing in the future...

I got my lasers, I'm new to this all, so my opinion is probably pointless (at best) but I'm a bit upset. I ordered 100mW Violet, and a 150mW Red. My 50mW green out shines both. I do not have instruments to test them, but from looking and the wal neither compare :(
