Dragon Lasers doesn't sell handhelds anymore?

They changed their 589nm options, and were out of stock of a bunch of things, now the laser pointer section shows "page not found". If this is true that would be really unfortunate. They had really nice lasers particularly 589nm and their GLP 532nm pointers. Also other than laserglow which is...

    My introduction, hey all!

Welcome! Find it a bit odd your willing to show your face but not your name. Regardless I'm sure you'll find a lot of helpful info here on LPF.

    Sanwu RGB questions

Do you know what diodes it uses?

    Sanwu RGB questions

What is the minimum output for each color? Could I do 5mW for each diode? What is the divergence of each diode? What is the divergence as a whole? What do the vials do? Is the basic plan worth it? Thanks

Looking to buy a Dragon Lasers 50mw 589nm Spartan

How much are you willing to spend? Pm me.

Can you see the beam of a green 5mw laser outdoors at night with fog?

As long as the beams are contained within the harp as the above post mentioned, I don't see 50mW being an issue and would give a much better experience.

Some version laser and host i will selling

Does the sanwu beam expander need either of the adapters they sell? Also in the last host how much would it be if the brass was replaced with copper?

    Looks amazingly like ours...😅

They gotta use a yellow laser just to flex.... Lol

[Request] List of wavelengths that are created from dpss lasers

Go to this website click on each wavelength, and if it doesn't specifically say its a diode laser (such as if it says solid state) at the top then its DPSS. Have fun.

What is the required mW of a blue laser to burn dark colored paper?

Unless you point it a black text, no. The higher the wavelength the more sensitive it is to what color the thing your burning is. So therefore red is pretty much the worst choice.

What is the required mW of a blue laser to burn dark colored paper?

White paper probably 300-500mW. Black paper probably 75mW will make it smoke. Igniting paper if you take something printed on normal printer paper and burn the back text can be done with 200mW but takes some effort. All of these assume the laser is focused and held still. Wavelength (color)...

Which budget Laser Power Meter for measuring telescope mirror reflectivity?

Yes, the LPM measures based on how much heat the laser produces on the thermopile. And also the laser itself is inherently unstable due to voltage, and temperature fluctuations. You can overcome this to an extent with a lab laser though.

    Worried need answers

Your probably fine, but if you want to be safe see an eye doctor. And don't forget to throw your friends laser in the garbage because nothing good will come of it.

    Worried need answers

How much did his laser cost (yes this is a relavent question)
  15. brendon7358

Which budget Laser Power Meter for measuring telescope mirror reflectivity?

Would be way too unreliable. Lasers measure more of a difference than that measuring them 1 minute apart. I don't know if the laser is unstable or if it's the LPM. Maybe it could be done with a lab laser and an lpm in an extremely temperature controlled environment, but with just regular...

Which diode for maximum beampoint intensity (mW) at 50-100 meters?

Pretty sure your best bet would be either a 500mW 405nm (don't remember which diode). Or a high power dpss (such as 532nm). An 800mW that usually runs at 1W can be purchased from jetlasers for $460. Whichever you choose, a beam expander will make it even better. Also beam intensity doesn't...

    ARGmeter Ophir 20C-A-1-Y w/ heatsink

That's unfortunate the interface only goes to 4W, it's really downplaying what that head is capable of, especially with he heatsink. Also just a heads up, I tried to sell my similar unit for $500 for just about a year and the highest offer I got was $350 I believe. I ended up selling it for...

240mw Green Lasers - How Dangerous are they?!

See how it burns various things, black foam, black plastic, matches, dark balloons. And let us know your results, that will give you a rough idea of the output power. Just don't stare directly at the spot you are burning, look away. Safety goggles would be best but your laser probably isn't...

Picking the best green lazer for under $40 shipped

This thread is 8 years old... but the best quality green laser for under $40 is the laserglow anser, assuming you are only concerned with quality and not output. It may only be 5mW but that makes it legal which is nice and you don't have to be as careful with it as you would with other lasers...

    FS: 900mW 520nm

Yes if that's a risk your willing to take. I will not be held responsible for customs.
