To remove it from the heatsink, I tried snapping it out, the way it's possible w/ the blu-ray diodes. The metal did not snap, and maybe I put some stress on the diode.

Yeah, the color on those is nice. My argon goggles DO fully block UV (argon has lines that go down that low) but, they block everything between green and uv, so basically all you can see when wearing them is red.

Ive got some for my argon, and they seem to cover just about everything other than red. Being more clear, and only blocking around 400nm might be better... but not worth paying for :)
