    double complete rainbow

Just another reason to not try to be a psychonaut, kids. The brain can do some weird shit under the influence of certain chemicals...

Any target shooters / Firearms collectors?

When I was buying my concealed carry gun, I tried just about everything under the sun. Glocks, HK's, FN fiveseven, sig 226/229/250, S&W MP series, kimber ultra carry etc etc etc I settled on the springfield XDm. close to 2000 rounds and never a FTF, FTE, no failure of any kind. It took a bit...

Successful DIY CO2 laser, made from scratch!

That is freaking awesome. So are the mirrors themselves (and correlating o-rings) the end seals for the plasma tube? Very very very cool. I think I might give this a shot. Where did you pick up the glass and the optics?

    What watch are you wearing?

Right now I'm wearing a rolex explorer... No idea if it's real or not. I inherited it when my great-grandfather died. The watch I usually wear is a skagen 238LTMB... pretty cool watch, made from titanium, and apparently a pretty rare model from skagen. Here's a picture:

Any target shooters / Firearms collectors?

.357 mag is one of the best handgun calibers out there, lots of power! A friend of mine has a desert eagle 50AE, it's fun but waaaaaay too expensive to shoot, like $2 per shot. And way too big to carry, it pretty much just stays in the safe. Although it is pretty accurate for being such a hand...

Any target shooters / Firearms collectors?

Right now my collection is worth around 1700 lol... But I've probably spent at least that much in ammo. When people give me grief or call me paranoid for carrying, I use the fire extinguisher analogy. You have one because you want a way to put out or contain the fire because you know the...

Any target shooters / Firearms collectors?

Well, I've recently been sucked into yet another hobby. Shooting  I've always wanted an AR-15 and a nice sidearm for both target shooting as well as concealed carry / personal protection. One day I decided.. what the hell, I might as well! I went and got my concealed weapons permit and...

HOW EASY IT IS TO RUIN AN EBAY SELLER's BUSINESS!

I hate the whole paypal / ebay monopoly. I recently sold a few items on ebay. I've had just under 100 transactions on ebay, both buying and selling. The items I sold recently, paypal would not release the money to me until I received positive feedback from the buyer. I've been a member of...

Pics of Amazing HeNe tubes. Share your photos too....

They aren't HeNe's, but these are my favorite three plasma tubes: This is probably my favorite of the three tubes: Unfortunately, I haven't got my hands on any of the big / rare HeNe tubes. This is probably the most interesting HeNe I have... it's a spectra physics 132:

To oudin or not to oudin...

Zap it!! The power supply will be fine, just dont go hog wild. Like the previous poster said, turn the knob until you just start to hear it crackle (barely on) and give her a zap on the heat sink fins near the anode end (watch out for the voltage levels present at that end of the tube). I've...

I've seen the light, and the light is white.

Well, the alignment of this laser is still getting the best of me. But here is a much better picture:

I've seen the light, and the light is white.

The beam is about 2mm at the aperture, and generally has better divergence than a handheld. As far as burning goes, they do it pretty well :eg:

I've seen the light, and the light is white.

It sure is convenient! I have water, a drain, power, and I can do some laundry at the same time! :)

I've seen the light, and the light is white.

A healthy tube of this size should be able to squeeze out as much as 5W whitelight at full tilt. The mixed gas brings down the power a bit. In comparison, my Ar only head will go as high as 9W at full current. I've posted a ton of pictures if my argon 168, but here's another for reference...

I've seen the light, and the light is white.

I had to drive down past your neck of the woods to pick this thing up. All the way to Van Nuys in one shot! I tried to send you an email before hand to see if you wanted to meet up / shoot the shit, but I'm not sure if I sent it to the correct address....
