    The Green Gargoyle 10.08 W @ 520nm

Looks like a interesting project! I think it could be made fairly compact. However, I'm thinking to do it would require abandoning the pre-made mounts and holders. New diode mounts and mirror adjusters would have to be imagined and built. Precise machining would be needed. Not a easy...

Laser diode divergence as a function of driving current.

The slow axis of MM diodes is very dependent on current (gets bigger with higher currents). The fast axis seems pretty stable. Im not sure why. If I had to guess the fast axis is basically diffraction limited due to its very small dimension. This probably keeps divergence stable in that...

Front surface mirrors from A-130 projector

Stuff like this combiner. And lots of modules built over the years. I can't recall the exact reflectivity. I think about 95% for blue.

Front surface mirrors from A-130 projector

Hundreds of them. Don't heat the glass directly, just the Aluminum. The glue on the back is fairly soft. The glue will be three small dots per mirror. It can be removed with a new sharp razor.

Front surface mirrors from A-130 projector

heat the AL mount with a heat gun or torch. After awhile the mirrors can be popped off with a sharp object like a razor blade.

Mitsubishi ML562G84 Tri-Beam Red Laser Diode, best price?

I bought this ebay item and it was a tri beam diode.

How come laser shows are not a danger to the audience? (newbie)

Its very complicated and can't be explained in one sentence. Audience scanning shows are set-up by highly trained individuals. They use lots of measuring, testing, math and electronic hardware to make the show safe by keeping the power of the laser under safe limits as it scans the crowd.

    High Power RGB

Sharp GH0637AA2G has a about half the divergence of the P73. It is only good for 750mW so need to knife edge or PBS two. Probably easier to just overdrive the P73 and add correction optics.

big problems with sharp 185 mW 638 nm diodes

Did you short the output of the driver before connecting the diode? Residual charge in the caps can kill SM diodes real quick.

Outdoor logo projection onto wall in daylight

A lot of different things to consider. Size and complexity of logo, surface to be projected on, safety, are a few. Where are you located? Maybe I can help.

DTR's Laser Shop - Laser Diodes & More

No personal experience with the NDB7675 . 1.8A is the sweet spot for the m462. I love the m462. To me its the perfect blue for RGB projection.

DTR's Laser Shop - Laser Diodes & More

I have a few NUBM07 and really like them . My problem is I have several projectors with the m462 and the '07 don't color match with the m462. Also, its better for me to have 2x m462 than a single more powerful diode due to the 12v power supply available. The n465 might be an alternative but...

DTR's Laser Shop - Laser Diodes & More

Any possibility of the m462 coming back?

Yeah LPF always the first with new diodes. PL slow, no new projects over there. I will post...

Yeah LPF always the first with new diodes. PL slow, no new projects over there. I will post something i discovered soon. I will give you a teaser... I have combined the three beam red diode into one overlapped beam.

    New SHARP 450nm 1650mw

You know what, the Sharp GH0637AA2G 700nW 638nm diode drops off after the rated current. Maybe Sharp rates their diodes differently?

    Cylinder lens not clean

You could blow off with air then use optical cleaning papers with reagent grade alcohol or acetone. Try not to scrub the surface. Usually I lay the cleaning paper on the surface then wet it with the solvent. Next, slowly drag the paper off the surface. Only use that area of the paper once...

    New SHARP 450nm 1650mw

Incredible! I'll have to try one of these.

    New SHARP 450nm 1650mw

Im kinda confused. Is the divergence roughly half of the M140?

Anybody know about the Mitsubishi ML562G18?

Its for projector use so has to be single beam. It was supposed to be a single beam diode. Who else is selling the single beam units? And what are the specs? I took it up to 2A (max the supply could do) and man! they put out some red light.
