Ok got it working, only problem i have is if i hold the trigger switch on, the output stays on? How would i make it so that if the trigger is held down longer than the pulse the output turns off?

i plan on using a IRF1405 MOSFET, so the gate resistor would be to limit current from the 555 timer? also i think the 555 timer is rated for 200mA output

looks like a easy foot print to layout, id suggest getting them made by ITEAD, heaps cheaper than OshPark and get more boards.
