    Accidents will happen...

And that is why you need laser goggles, and a bit of common sense. The common sense part would be: Laser is powerful light. Mirror reflects light. Mirror is perpendicular to you. DON'T SHINE LASER AT MIRROR.

[Updated] Dragon Laser Spartan 400mw 447nm Review

Re: Dragon Laser Spartan 400mw 447nm Review + Question Interesting that you should mention the beam being about 5x the diameter of your green... :D Just happens that these 445 "diodes" are actually 5 diodes in a diode bar, arranged in a line (what, they couldn't even do a pentagon or a square...

Re: FS:2 @ 445nm >950mW Gah... I get paid on Friday. If the Ehgemus host one is still around then, I'll take it. :D Now I'll go play Minesweeper while I wait impatiently...

    Help choosing a monitor

That's what I was saying with the Nvidia cards. The newest ATI Radeon 5000 series cards support 3 monitors per card though. The only downside to it is that one of the monitors needs to be DisplayPort, or have an adapter.

    Help choosing a monitor

You'll probably be interested in some of the newer thin bezel monitors then. Samsung recently released a set of 3 thin bezel monitors plus stands for all of them, although I don't remember what the pricing or availability was on them, or even where I saw them. It was on some tech news site...

    Olight SR90 or MG X-Thrower?

I'm looking for a bright flashlight to add to my light collection sometime in the next month, and am torn between two different lights: The Olight SR90, and the MG X-Thrower. Anyone have any experience with these? I'm looking for mainly throw, as I have a Fenix TK-11 that I can use for "normal"...

    Color Acuity Test

Just ran the test on my Lenovo laptop with different screen than original (long story, suffice to say I broke the original :p). Got a 12 on my first try, which is relatively high up for my age group of 20-29 males. I'd like to get my monitor calibrated through, considering I know this monitor...

Endavour 250 MW (average 295,3 mW laser)

He said he lived in Austria, and is just flying through Germany. He had said that he didn't want to send it to himself because of Customs though... Why not send it via mail? Customs can't go through everything, and you could just declare it as something else on the box if you're required to say...

Redilast Li-ion Battery sales! High quality - Made in Japan / Korea! 10% off!

The one thing I've wondered is why can't they make the cells themselves about 3mm shorter to account for the protection circuit? Or is it just not possible with the manufacturing methods used?

    PC Build Help

Can you find a decent builder who uses stock cooling for his own PCs? I think not. :p Seriously though, if I'm going to build a large computer for multithreaded stuff, I'll go for a 6-core processor right now. The Intel Core i7-980X, while being worth more than a 400mW green handheld from CNI...

Best charger for AW 18650 Batteries

I have the WF-139 charger (ordered from LightHound too) with AW 18650 protected 2600mAh batteries. It seems to work, but I haven't had either long enough to comment on long term effects, if any. I don't think it requires a special charger, but you want a decent charger.

    PC Build Help

Er, why look at dual CPU motherboards? Those are typically workstation or server class boards, and quite a bit more expensive. IMHO, a single-slot motherboard with a quad-core is better than two dual-cores. Certainly would be a lot cheaper.

FLASHLIGHT vs LASER stranded on an island

Sunlight and candle mostly as I understand, but I prefer my light on my demand. Personally. :can:

    PC Build Help

More cores also help for video (re)encoding and for running many programs at once (BOINC distributed computing comes to mind), but multi-core stuff is fairly exclusive right now.

How does it work at night? :na:

FLASHLIGHT vs LASER stranded on an island

I'm going with a flashlight. Bigger beam, more useful for seeing stuff, can still be used for lighting stuff if powerful enough, and can be more easily seen if pointed towards a rescuer.

Want a FREE screen guard for your phone?

I actually can replicate this on my el-cheapo Samsung m300 that I got a little while ago for $60 new, full price. Using the Bell network in Canada (but not actually with Bell).
