laser supplies in Seoul, South Korea

Wow, I wondering how much markup they charge for the iChargers. I recommend that you skip the most basic of hobby chargers (Accucel-6, iMax B6) and move straight to an entry level iCharger, like the 106B+. Well worth the extra money for precision, output, heat dissipation, and PC connectivity. :)

Anyone have the need for, and ability to scope, a 5A buck driver?

I have an Agilent 2012A if you need me to check out that driver. I use it regularly (overkill) to scope my LED and laser drivers. May be more logical to ship it to somewhere in Canada though. :)

    $23.1 SRK 6 x XM-L2 from USA Direct DX

It should be possible to make a stubby but wide heatsink, which can be threaded and inserted into the host. The driver isn't really a driver because it is direct drive with PWM to produce med and low modes. You'll need to get a boost driver for the 4x 18650 in parallel. Let me know if you...

Oh I see what you mean, you want to use a mechanical switch for a laser. :)

    $23.1 SRK 6 x XM-L2 from USA Direct DX

The current doesn't pass through the switch, it's an electronic switch and is connected to the micro-controller. For tutorials on modding the driver to boost brightness my swapping the MOSFET to a lower resistance version: [sold out] SKY RAY 6 x Cree XM-L2 T6 3-Mode Cool White Light...

R/C semi-autonomous burning laser project (pics)

Very cool build, thanks for sharing. +1 What current is the diode driven at? Depending on the current, you may or may not need additional heatsinking. If it's >300mA, it's recommended to have one!
