Try using Lithium batteries. also how big is the dot without the lens? and what are you trying to burn? If it stings your skin with out the lens it sounds like its fine. but if you are using the lens you have to burn at the smallest point of the beam. i think the focal length of novas lenses is...

well from what i see its still "acceptable" but you should have no problems burning. what kind of batteries are you using?

When you shine it on the wall with the lens do you see one big dot or 2 dots here is a photo... and the star map thing might just be dirt on the lens try cleaning it off. your x125 should have no problems burning.... well what are you trying to burn?

o and BTW maxpcuser your Sig says you have a 70Mega Watt and a 5Mega Watt Laser! MW = Megawatt mW = Milliwatt Wonder what a 70Million Watt laser would cost? were could use it? its not like you can step outside and turn it on you would set houses on fire miles away not to mention you would need...

from what i can tell you need to send it back to Nova. did you tell them about the loss of power? and the "dots" do go into the "not acceptable " range right? if it does send it back. Even if its close i really dont think they would charge you $60, from what ive seen Nova is BIG on customer service.

i did lose burning power but the beam still looked fine. if i did lose "light" power i did not notice it. have you gone over the 100sec duty cycle?

ya i spent 15months in Iraq its hot as Hell there. o and i went to basic training in Fort "Lost in the woods"(Fort Leonard Wood) MO during the dead of winter. Try taking a PT test in -15f its not fun, not that basic was that fun anyways!

i sent my X75 back still waiting for them to test it but im not worried about them saying its fine because it was definitely mode hopping. my avatar is what the dots looked like and thats not that bad (any mode hopping is bad) i have some other pics of the dots a lot farther apart.

ya i was looking in there and ya shipping is nutts! and after i get the prism and maybe one other thing im broke. thats why i thought i would try here. people here collect a lot of laser stuff and i thought maybe if someone had some laying around they would be willing to sell. i know $20 wont...
