Interested in the red laser

Hi i just received mine and at first i though there was no diode, i but the open can diode was there but still it emits no light or anything. no beam and no dot. im not sure why. Maybe someone would know what the problem may be.

No my camera doesnt pick it up so well compared to what i can see and ill try to get one upladed soon its not bad at all and ive heard that minor scatter is normal. i was able to clean some of it out. And as far as the site being down i can still get to it just fine.
