    Problems with left eye

Do i need laser glasses for laser

I would say it's up to you If you're careful and exercise disciplined beam control the risk of injury should be minimal. By that I mean always point the laser away from you and into the sky. Don't use a laser with a permanent on switch Accidents could happen anyway though so it's up to you how...

    Problems with left eye

I stated that I know you're not eye doctors, but still you probably know a thing or two about safety and what you should or shouldn't do. If you don't like answering these kinds of questions you should just refrain from doing so and go on to the next thread of interest. I guess the tone of...

    Using laser pointer outside

It's not that hard if you're careful, but it's easy to lose beam control, and then things like that could happen.

What power will allow a visible beam?

In my experience any laser below 100 mW or so (non educated guess) won't be visible without external aid like a fog machine. The exception is green lasers. My greenie, which I'm estimating to be around 50 mW, is not visible except at night or in a dark room, and even then it's just slightly...

    Using laser pointer outside

I love using my green pointer outside when it's dark. It makes a clearly visible beam. The problem is that I don't want to accidentaly hit a plane, inside someones living room, pedestrians and so on. If that should happen it could have very serious consequences. I guess it's less of a problem...

    Hi

I was probably around 25 years old when I did it. At that time I didn't know that even supposedly weak lasers could be dangerous. I just assumed it was harmless. As I said I know better now. I now know that cheap lasers from China could be vastly overspec, and shining a laser deliberately in...

    Hi

This will be my first post. I've always been fascinated by lasers, and after reading this forum and elsewhere on the net a bit terrified. My first laser I received as a gift from a friend. It was a < 5 mw (at least I think it was) red laser in a small host with 3 pen batteries. I shone it in...
