This is a complete shot in the dark since I've never seen this kinda thing before, but it may be some sort of faded after-image from the camera sensor or the like. Was the pic taken as soon as the laser was turned off, or did you wait?

Shit, that sounds terrible... I was always eyeballing that 350z in your avatar, can't believe what happened to it. One of my co-workers also injured their back on the job, and injury like that has the potential to screw up everything in your life. Here's to hoping you have better luck moving...

Not nearly as much as I used to. However, ever since I had bought the 495nm diode (I've got a unique build coming up for that some time), I had been giving some thought to putting the 503nm copper/bronze pointer up for sale.

How long has it been down for? Might be some maintenance going on or something. It's a big site and doubt it would just disappear.

The full heatsink package was discontinued, now he only sells the front part since the adapters stopped being produced (or ran out of stock, one of the two). Like Bacon said, you will need to find a 510 adapter yourself in order to attach it to a mech mod.

Nice, what hosts/heatsinks are they built into?

Thanks all. :D @Paul, both the lenses are acrylic, and the "box" artifact is still there, but very faint. Like I said in the OP, that 503nm was the one you built for me, the 473nm one was from DTR.

He hasn't posted on LPF in over a week! Kidding aside, RIP. He clearly went far in his field and will be remembered vividly.

Just had another module made for me by Paul, this time 495nm! As always Paul was extremely kind and helpful, and even acted as a sort of shipping relay with something else I was ordering from the states. This wavelength is stunning, almost like turquoise: From left to right; 503nm, 495nm...
