I wanted to make a 2x 26650 host with space for a big heatsink and module, while having the head the same diameter as the body, and have a built in focusing mechanism. Kind of like a Jetlasers PL-E Pro without the extra buttons. Would aluminum perhaps be a better choice?
Hi Lighter, thanks for messaging me. I actually no longer make laser hosts, not regularly at least. I can work with titanium in a limited fashion but it is very expensive and not suitable for a laser host. It has poor thermal conductivity. I've noticed throughout building pointers that conductivity is never an issue between aluminum, copper, stainless, and the like. I could flame ano titanium but I don't have equipment for electrolytic anodizing. What kinda laser were you looking to build?
