Why do chicks scream so much?

Ok.. I'm sure many of you have encountered times when something shocking happens, girls in the general vicinity would scream, and scream like crazy. It seems it doesn't even take much to trigger this reaction, simply talking about an exciting event, girls can go wild screaming over it. The...

Need Help in Soldering? For Beginners - Solder & Flux 101

I usually use eutectic 63/37 solder as it more quickly turns solid from liquid and that trait is great for soldering diodes. When soldering just make sure you melt the solder on the metal you're soldering, not on the iron.

    Gold plating copper/aluminium heatinks, possibility.

Is nickel plating always required prior to gold plating on copper? One would think the purpose of gold-plating is negated, as that layer of Nickel impedes thermal conductivity.

Significant Radiation Spike Detected June 7th & 8th near Indiana/Michigan Border

Re: Significant Radiation Spike Detected June 7th & 8th near Indiana/Michigan Border How do they know it's nuclear radiation and not radiation from outer space?

I'm not afraid of not knowing & say I don't know. Not afraid to show my that I have a weakness... One thing about me is that I always love to know more. So when I ask questions, it's a good thing. Take it positively that I want to learn and not negatively that I'm ignorant and should "stop...

The aixiz lens can be "shaped" into a near circular dot while the G-lenses can't, they're always a line. & haha.. miraculous lenses. OMG that should be the name of my lens LOL. Funny how we're talking about lenses when I have actually been designing a lens assembly recently.

Regarding the aixiz lens, the "correction" is pretty substantial in my perception, it's totally different when focused compared to the G lens. Almost night and day. One is a near circular dot, the other a very fine line. Total difference, at least perceived by me. I'm surprised you guys don't...

Are you being sarcastic? I can't tell. But I'm socially handicapped too so LOL sorry =P And just the normal Aixiz lenses. I'll take some photos of what I mean, but don't you guys know what I'm talking about? The Aixiz produces a really clean, i would say almost perfectly circular dot to the...

Oops, I used that word with its English meaning. I didn't know correction was a scientific term. I say correction because it "corrects" the beam to our preference. What does correction mean in the scientific sense? Does it only apply to certain types of lenses that perform a certain type of...

    A Big Thanks To RyanElectro!

I know what you mean and can see why you think I'm giving incorrect information, but it's a matter of perception. In reality, yes it's the multimode diode that's the source of the rectangular projection. But normal lenses (the Aixiz) correct this behaviour very substantially and results in a...

    445 Mag Mod with TEC...

    The God of Mag-Lites!

    A Big Thanks To RyanElectro!

Yup and the other difference is that the Aixiz lens has some correction, allowing a more dot-like projection. While the G lenses focuses to a much longer, thin line instead.

    A Big Thanks To RyanElectro!

We were comparing lenses during that conversation and he asked why the dot looked more like a line than a dot. I told him it's actually possible to have the dot look more "dot-ish" (aka nicer beam profile) using a lowered powered lens, but because of the G-2 lens it's more like a line (as in...

Looks like I'll be moving to HongKong

There's IB outside of North America? I didn't know it stretched that far and is a valued trait out there. lol So as a foreign teacher, the school pays for your rent? Sounds like an awesome job. Why international though? You can make great money here in Canada. Or is it the foreign experience...
