How did you pull out more than 250gb out if a sata II port non raid? Those numbers are wrong. The drive itself works at those rated speeds but only in a sata3 port.

Well 2 or 3 lenses seems like a larger variation than I would like. Makes big difference with the splash size too. Which ones do you have currently Jay? The one that you use a flathead to open or the one that takes a spanner tool to open? I like the latter the best.

I have seemed to run into 2 different 445 lenses, one produces an ugly large splash (a) and the other has a very slight and manageable splash(b). A) seems to be the 445 lenses that have 2 lenses B) seems to have 3 lenses inside and is tightened with with a spanner instead of a flat head...

from what the user needs, it needs to be a permanent (ly) mounted fixture. a cheap HeNe would do the trick, I know daguid has the basic set up.

or what about an HeNe they come in a tube like holder and use a PS . and you get a nice dot.

I believe it , it clearly shows without any editing. Also I don't think the topic here is whether you believe in someone or not. Back on topic, the maximum rating for these diodes are higher to start off with than the 12x. So it would be nice to see what they can do. Beam profile, voltage...
