    Price Drop: JDSU 10mW single-line argon, $195 + shipping

Re: Price Drop: JDSU 10mW single-line argon, $225 + shipping Hey guys, Hak is correct. As alluded to in the OP, I also have a 2214-40MLA multiline head and PS, which puts out around 90mW max, which I purchased after this single-line unit, hence why I want to sell my 10mW. I don't have any...

Re: FS: 1 x 26650 Vintage Restored Host Hi, Superb job! Great to see another vintage builder out there. (Nice polishing job, too.) :) A couple of questions: - Is that a brass screw on the switch? (Did you drill out the rivet that was originally there to remove and clean the switch...

Price Drop: Ophir 20C LPM sensor, plus wiring harness. $265 + shipping.

I have an Ophir-based LPM for sale. This is a brand-new Ophir 20C-A-1-Y head, plus custom-built wiring harness, made by me. All you need is two 9V batteries and any off the shelf voltmeter in order to complete the system, and be able to measure lasers up to 5W (or 20W, if the sensor is...

    UPDATED: G9 vs. G2 vs. 3-Element vs. Acrylic - A study

Hey Tmack, Sorry to hear about your S06J. Do you know what current it was at when it died? Mine was at about 670mA. (And it was ramped up to that gently, using a bench power supply, not hammered all at once.) I know there are a couple of build threads where people have gone beyond that...

    UPDATED: G9 vs. G2 vs. 3-Element vs. Acrylic - A study

Yeah, it turns out the 500mW Mits P73 was a tricky diode to test, because it turns out it's VERY temperature sensitive. Way more than the other diodes. Even though I was using a large copper heatsink for the tests, the slightest warming or cooling would noticeably affect the measured output...

SOLD: Vintage solid copper Rayovac 9mm 445 build, $295 + shipping

Re: Price Drop: Vintage solid copper Rayovac 9mm 445 build, $295 + shipping Hi Shakenawake, No. The diode is pressed into a copper aixiz-style module, then the module was pressed into the heatsink, using thermal paste. There is a set screw in the heatsink, however the fit was so tight I...

SOLD: Vintage solid copper Rayovac 9mm 445 build, $295 + shipping

Hello, I'm selling my solid copper vintage Rayovac build, which was previously reviewed here: http://laserpointerforums.com/f52/vintage-solid-copper-build-2-rayovac-86459.html This build was created by me, with help from Flaminpyro, who made the heatsink and focus adapter, both of which are...

    Price Drop: JDSU 10mW single-line argon, $195 + shipping

Hi all, I have a JDSU 10mW single-line argon for sale. I bought the PSU and head separately, so they aren't a matched set, but they work fine together. The head is rated at 10mW, however it will put out just over 30mW at max current, measured with my Ophir LPM (not that you would want to...

Vintage solid copper build #2 - the Rayovac

Hello! Welcome to my review of a second vintage build I've put together, using a solid copper host from the 1930's made by the Rayovac company, and a copper heatsink made by Jeff K (aka Flaminpyro). This review follows my first vintage build review, of a host made by the Bond company, which...

CLOSED - Osram PL TB450B 1.6W (Substitute for the M140)

Re: Feeler: Osram PL TB450 (M140) DTR sells both M140's, and PLTB450's. People know them as separate diodes, with different specs. So to compare them in the thread title as being the same diode is confusing people. $37 is a decent price for either diode, but if people are going to go in on a...
