I tried w/ a magnifier lens, it was easy to set off a flash paper w/ mine! 5mW? ... mine is really output 87mW :p GH

I am wondering, is that sustained output that you measured? As many will a test, many meters swing higher than actual output when first hit...? -GH

I recently got 3 color laser pens w/ star caps, (fleabay), for about $24, the raw outputs were much like those 3 graphs as well... +1 Rep! ;) -GH

Just let me know if anyone wants a similar crystal... I got a bunch and the importer, a pal, is getting more at good deals all along. (these are about $5 per inch of length, and I chose w/ a green laser so, I see which light up nice.) ;) -Glenn

Ruby has chromium, (lab or natural) Cr is the "dopant" , in a gem, there is more of it and that is less ideal for a laser rod in general. ;) -GH

The thin beam and color just make my pulse race! btw, also thinking this may be my choice for the Star Trek Phasor ;) -GH

Love this unit... and the Osram PLT450!!! also, I just realized, I have another of the same host... I may make a special h.s. and have DTR make me one a bit higher output next :eg: Sure like the tighter dot pal!!! Thanks! -Glenn
