    Buck Converter Feeler?

Wolfman, do you know what resistor would provide 1.5-1.8A of current in these drivers? I would do the math myself, but I have no idea how to even start, as I have never done such a thing... Ill admit I do not even know what SMD resistors look like. On this particular driver (I just got my...

What the hell does this mean.

I suggest using the same tracking number at your post office website. When I get packages from DX, the Chinese tracking only tells me when it has left hong kong. To find out where it is in the US I have to input the tracking number into USPS's website...

    Holy $#!% Ultra-Capacitor

Would these caps have any practical use for a normal electronics geek? Makes me want to make a huge array and start vaporizing stuff

Noob buying his first laser tips plox

For greenies, many people are toting lazerer.com as a reputable source for on spec lasers (aka lasers that are as powerful as they actually advertise). O-like also sells some good ones. I also suggest watching the Buy Sell trade section of this forum, sometimes people post GREAT deals on...

    S3 Arctic Question

If you are willing to spend the cash to buy the Artic, I suggest watching for a really high powered build in the BST section of LPF, someone had a 2W Saik build up for $350 if I remember correctly. Thats ~266% more powerful than a typical Artic (750 mW) If you want it here and now, I HIGHLY...

    Im hooked

I think what Somedude is trying to say is that you will never find a Artic S3 =>1W However, you CAN find a 1.2W c6 for less than $150 here on the forums Some people have builds that peak above 2W, but most higher powered ones are at 1.6-1.8W It took me about two weeks of free time just...

    WTB: High Quality 16340/CR123

Oops, forgot to update this post. I just got two of the AW's in the mail from lighthound. After charging they both read at exactly 4.23v, really consistent stuff. When put in series I was reading 1500 mAh on my multimeter, but I believe their discharge rate is much higher! Nice to know 16340...

Silicone wire & Brass press tools left for sale.

Hey Moh, I got your package awhile ago, just had the chance to use my first press tool. Was ALOT easier than using various random tools from the hardware store, to say the least! Thanks man! You delivered again! PS: I was wondering if I was supposed to use a sleeve to thread into the diode...

    FS: Feeler - 325mW 532nm FireDragon (thin beam)- $190

Oh interesting, I am surprised that they care about Canada to US customs, would have thought they just checked chinese imports for lasers. I hate that customs bullcr*p! Makes you feel like freedom is an illusion(because it is :tinfoil:)

1-1.3 watt 445nm Laser Package **ONLY $139 SHIPPED IN US**

I agree, USPS prices are great for the normal person (aka non business), and even then they are very competitive. Is the extension tube price for LPF members the same as the website price? If that was your idea, well done :P I want one, but I'm not sure if I could justify $30 for that and $20...

    FS: Feeler - 325mW 532nm FireDragon (thin beam)- $190

$190? That's a hell of a deal, I'm sure someone will jump on this. Out of curiosity, why can't you ship it to the US? I wish I had the cash/lived in the right place to pick this up :P

    Buck Converter Feeler?

Bought this set of 20 of those diodes from a china ebayer: 20 PCS SS34 DO-214AC 1N5822 SMD Schottky Barrier Diodes | eBay They will probably take awhile to get here, but I wouldn't mind throwing a few in a envelope for a stamp if anyone needed some. Ill never need 20 of those o_0

    WTB: High Quality 16340/CR123

Hey guys, I need two high quality 16340s for a high powered 445nnm in a Aurora C6 build using a modified DX driver. I just ordered from DX, so no hurry as far as shipping/source of the batteries. Right now I'm looking at the AW IMR16340 550 mAh from lighthound, but I figured that I mine as well...

    Buck Converter Feeler?

Ah ok that makes sense, thanks much for the help! I already have a ~1.1W 445, but I have an extra diode handy, so I thought I would make a bigger better one for me, and give the old one to a friend. I'm not sure if I could trust my friend with 1W of lasing power  (especially since he won't...

    Buck Converter Feeler?

Haha good idea. I hear ya, unfortunately this semester I'm already taking a week off for a convention, so I don't have the extra absent days to magically get sick ;) Hey Wolfman, for a 445 diode would you have to use 2x CR123 batteries or one 18650 with this driver? Thanks for helping me make...
